Spotty by 200+ over Glenorden
Altona by 45 over Heights
Colts by 36 over Warriors
Saints by 52 over North
Albion by 21 over Sunshine
This game will be played with a lot of passion and could end up a lot closer and with a few reports.

Why reports?

Port Colts came from 38 points down in the last quarter to beat Hoppers Crossing by 2 points
38 points down at the 10 minute mark, then slammed on five goals in five minutes. Colts snatched the lead 28 minutes into the last quarter.

If I'm not mistaken Hoppers lost today by 2 points, and lost to Albion by 5 points. They're on the back foot a little bit now...will be interesting to see how they perform against Spotty next week.

Went home for the weekend (Altona) and watched the boys play.

Great performance against a very ordinary side in Heights.

Whats everyones tip for the spoon this season?

They are 2 games that should have never been given away by us, we were in front of both teams for 99.99% of game time... I'm looking at it as glass half full not half empty!

Thats half the problem...........the contents of the "glass"

Its the same story over and over again out at Hogans road.

Interesting news on WRFL clearance board.Chris Brannan back to Colts from Avondale Heights. Boys have kept their cards pretty close to their
chests with this one.Looks like its been denied so far but if it comes off
a massive get to add to what is shaping as some serious strike power up
forward.Did you know this was on the cards Obe ?

Would love for you to say hello sometime!

Tige , What's going on at Hogans Rd , that was a 24 goal pasting from Spotty, after they have lost 4 or 5 of their best players from last year.

Never saw the game are we that bad , what has Mitch brought to the team that Ezard couldn't deliver on .

Would have to be our worst ever loss at home.

Was mentioned on the radio that yesterday was Hoppers Crossing 2nd biggest defeat in club history, the previous was against Seddon in 1993.

If thats the case Tige everybody else is playing for a distant second.
No doubt Spotty are as always the benchmark and good on em but surely
that wasnt the same Hoppers that dominated Colts for 3 quarters in the tight confines of Murphys Last week.No matter how dominant Spotty may prove to be this year they will not have a margin like that against any of the other top 5 sides this year. You can have bad days mate where bad goes to worse but Hoppers are a bit better than Spotty simply being levels above.

That is a cop out tige and you know it. If that's the mentality in the playing group no wonder you got rolled. Hardly a "warrior" like performance.

There is too much of a reliance on home grown talent down there, and they are overdue for another "big scalp" recruiting wise otherwise they'll be left behind. Hoppers really fail in that area. When you get one big fish, a few other little fish start to follow....time they open the cheque book and splash the cash if they want to be a premiership contender.

Is a bit surprising that David Mitchell didn't really attract anybody. Often a new coach, particularly someone whose had a reasonable standing in footy locally, draws some new talent to a footy club.

Ben Fletcher is a great get, but he's got Hoppers in his blood and was always going to come back when Werribee.

Had similiar thoughts to Tige's response , so Spotty bang on 11 goals in one quarter and the game is over but that's ok because Spotty are a level above , does the same go for our season as well.

Seems once again Spotty are odds on to win it, same as last year!
Never underestimate the Cats, 18 game season, plus finals, starting slow and building towards a big finish.
