i understand ya mite not have liked the post boys but was just posting what i seen when i was down there, didnt mean to single out the ex altona players as it was prob a few of the blokes that have played there awhile!! all i was saying that for a club that has had ment to have had 2 send offs in a season they played undisicplain with 2 in a praccy befor the seasons started. like i said hope you boys prove me wrong and come out and have a good season with little reports!

report on todays game boys, north played tulla and lost buy 15 goals we didnt look like much at all we had 5 or 6 out but was no excuse we looked very average! 1 of the guys from seamore did play well out of the center but was hard for the center man as our ruckman didnt win a tap! tulla did look well so it will be intresting to see how we go bring on the season hay only time will tell

Yeah the Devils were dismal today. Have got some key players to return for round 1, but I thought we would have got some more out of our young blokes today. We had four under 18's playing and a couple of them did some nice things. I am feeling a little low, but I guess that is footy!

Both have had gigs at the club in the past, Willy the most recent albeit 10 years ago. Damien played most of he's juinor footy there winning a comp and club b&f. He will give you the much needed target in front of goals. Not sure what impact Alan will have, was an absolute gun in his prime, hope he doesn't bite of more than he can chew in regards to being usefull both on and off the feild. If Charter is also playing things may be on the improve at cobra land?

no im not al smith or a player at west footscray. i havnt been on here 4 a while n parkside just beat sydnem on the week end , the only positive was that a cuple of u18s played in the seniors n done not bad,, so good signs 4 the future

I was down at THOMAS CAR SCHOOL watching WEST FOOTSCRAY VRS OLD WESTBOURNE practice match,\ i would have thought a Western region team would defeat a c grade ammo team but it wasn't the case .

The roosters looked terrible and had some blokes play both 2nd and 1st;s
being an ex west footscray old boy can any one tell me about the club this year? I couldn;t see BONES MCGHIE is he still coaching.

Your on the money there pal..... But we were never a chance to win with 16 senior players calling on the morning of the game to pull out due to varied circumstances. 4 senior blokes played a half of the 2's and 10 reserves doubled up to play between 6-8 quaters. Was a good testing run for the guys who attended but I have no doubt we would of won looking purely on the first half before we ran out of legs and players.

U lost by 16 goals but your astute football brain has worked out (without any doubt) that you Would have won had all your players been in....

Where did you get the 16 goals from GBF? Were you at the game? From what I recall we were goal for goal in the first half and didnt out score us by 16 goals in 2nd half!

We didn't have half our spine plus recruits playing and Evans who had kicked 2 in first qtr left field with a hammy just before qtr-time. 10 ressies played 2 games which was the biggest tellling factor. We will have you covered easily this season pal.

Obviously there then GBF..... From what I recall Evans had 2, Innella 1 Guerria 1 and the other guy I dont know his name.
I will say it again for you GBF just in case you have a screw loose, it was 1 RED & 1 YELLOW. Gary came back on after 15 mins.

West scored 6 goals for the game (may have been 5, but i was told 6 by the guy keeping the scores).

If 5 of them were scored in the first quarter then the rest of the game was lean on scoring for wests.

Not sure how you can say you'd beat OW if you had half your spine back when you were beaten in every area of the game. The FF did look dangerous before he went off but you cant really predict he would have dominated the rest of the game.

OW still had 6 walk up starters out of their senior side too.

As for the reports/cards, wasn't much in them and don't think the umpires were to concerned about it after the game.

Does anyone have any details of practice matches from the weekend?? any info would be nice(try to keep it closer to the truth than the info that was posted about the west game)..... Karim... did Albanvale play? Hammerstigers... what about Coburg??
