Having now seen the 50K HORSE, I have to say that
1) Scotty Nguyen is a far bigger douche than I could have imagined
2) Erick Lindgren has gained a whole heap of respect from me
3) at the time, Michael DiMichelle was portrayed as the bad guy, but he's a saint compared to Scotty.

Make up your own mind.

I've only watched the first hour, so far.

The silly dance, bow and what could have been portayed as mocking H Seed when DiMichelle knocked Seed out was very poor form. What's the point of telling someone they played really well when from all accounts Seed was stinking the joint out?

I'll watch the 2nd hour tonight.

the last hour is where it gets interesting when its down to 3-handed play.

For those that haven't seen it, I would have to rate Scotty's efforts as worse than Jamie Gold's at the 2006 WSOP Main Event. Watch the 5 clips below and decide for yourself.

if you think i'm exaggerating, go have a look over at 2p2 (here and here). some ppl are ripping shreds off Scotty, and deservedly so.

his reputation may never recover from this.

geez i wish e-dog had won instead.

agree, that was pretty bad

spolier alert
highlight to reveal----->notice that no one really clapped when he finally won...

someone has put together a montage of baby's antics:

I'd forgotten about his slowroll on barryg1.

at the time i was happy he won the HORSE, now i'm really not so sure.

I understand people being angry at DeMichele earlier, but he apologized for it, and that should have been the end of it.

Scotty was drunk out of his mind, moreso than usual, but he went so far over the line, it wasn't funny. Tarnished an event that should have been the showcase, if not for the fact they were playing in memory of Chip.

What struck me, was that Lindgren seemed to be on with Scotty when DeMichele was put in line - so to speak - but he obviously saw through Scotty as he got drunker and drunker. It was good to see Erick put aside his friendship with Scotty, knowing full well he was way out of line, even to go so far as to say "I hope you win" or words to that affect, directed at DeMichele.

Also notice how he clearly avoided Layne Flack when he busted out; Layne and Daniel were seen encouraging Scotty's behaviour, which was pretty average. "I can't beat a drunk" summed it, methinks.

Is Lindgren pound for pound the most likeable sportsman (yeah yeah, I know, but still) there is?

Has it all. Talent - both pokerwise and athletically, looks (shame about the loss of the barnet though) and of course substantial wealth, yet still has a remarkable humility and high level of class.
