Two bracelets and a runner up in consecutive events for Mercier. With Jason shipping bracelet bets everywhere, a $1.8m payout awaits should he ship a third thanks to Vanessa Selbst.

Currently 30ish with 119 remaining in 6-max PLO (520ish entries), it truly is one of the great runs.

The Australian Kozlov dominated short handed play in the 10k 6 max nlh for a stunning win (especially given the competition), great score, some of the Wsop stream replay is up on YouTube.

A few trends noticed: big shoves, which were in vogue about 8 - 10 years ago are now a thing, especially in icm situations. Final hand in the 6 max Kozlov won noticeable for bonomos rip with 29 bb over bttn open (chip leader obv opening wide) with 99, Kozlov also open ripped a few times for 25 bb effective from bttn with hands like qjss.

Defending tiny stacks wide from the blinds is now pretty common, rather than just shoving pre.

J Obst with the chip lead in the main, some big names left. Such a sick structure, chip leader has almost 200 bb well into the $.

Four Aussies still in the hunt on Day 5, including Obst & Karamalikis.

Greg Raymer also still alive.
M Dong is one of the shorties, I wonder if he ever regrets using that username? And I wonder if he does make the ESPN coverage that they mention it.

Obst = beast. One former teenage prodigy in Vornicu had position on another in Obst today. Didn't slow Obst down though.

Best all round player in this country? I'm pretty sure he was the only professional Australian player who played the 50k horse champs earlier this series. He probably didn't have his A game when hu vs mercier for the 10k horse this series (Ray D, who had defeated Mercier for the 10 k razz, was the expert commentator and was a bit bemused by some of Obst' plays in that event) but he clearly has to be the best player left in the field, especially given his extensive experience against the best players on the globe.

Obst went deep in the 50K last year too

Also won a SCOOP this year. Guy is a freak, and an Adelaide fan to boot ;)

He's at least on the right table to possibly get a double up. All the leaders are on the same table. Should be a lot of action on it.
