Tomljanovic has reached the semi at Hua Hin :thumbsu:

And what a final it was. Dayana Yastremska wins her 2nd title in 3 tight sets, thanks to a MTO. Easier to tell a story with tweets i feel.

I hate MTO.

In the other final, Kiki Bertens beat Vekic in 2 at the St. Petersburg Indoor Champs

FED CUP TIME

Barty has withdrawn from both Doha and Dubai in the next 2 weeks due to a hip injury. Australia is so lucky to have her.

In other news which has even made the mainstream news in Australia, Osaka has split with her Coach, Sascha Bajin. Be interesting if Osaka will regress now. She is not playing in Doha either.

Assumed Barty pulled out of Doha because if the closeness between and the Fed Cup. Hopefully the hip isn't too much of an issue. Won't see her till Indian Wells now.

Osaka's is a puzzling one, so bombing out at the rest of the slams this year?

That is what prompted my post. So she says that her coach was a positive for her success but a negative for her happiness.

That doesn’t tell me much. I want to know more.

We don't know the real reasons and unless it's leaked by either of the parties involved, we probably won't find out.

Just a tad strange to sack your coach after winning your first 2 slam titles.
