Don't think Green has even been in consideration as an opener and nor should he be.

I don't think he should be either, but if you held a gun to my head, I prefer him there over Labu (who seems shot).

Stuart Broad will work with South Africa as a coaching consultant ahead of this WTC final. Broad won't be in their inner sanctum for the match due to media commitments but no doubt he'll relish any role that sees him playing a part in potentially plotting Australia's downfall. His role will entail advising South Africa's bowlers on plans for Australia's batsmen and on the challenges of bowling at Lord's with the unique slope.

south africa play a 4 day warm up v zimbabwe starting tomorrow.

zimbabwe are not at full strength, however will treat it as a warm up for their upcoming 2 test series v south africa shortly after the WTC final.

A reminder for those interested Ashes pre-sale kicks off this afternoon.
And sure as night follows day.
We’re hearing reports of Cricket Fans encountering technical issues as they attempt to buy tickets to the upcoming Ashes series to be hosted in Australia over summer.

Guardian Australia is aware of widespread fan frustration at Ticketek’s online queue for the presale window, which opened today, with staggered start times for different states.

Several have claimed that after hours in the queue when they were nearing the front, they lost their place due to a glitch, and when they were able to rejoin, faced a queue with more than 180,000 others ahead of them.

Others have claimed their tickets “timed out” while they were checking out.

Guardian Australia has contacted Ticketek and Cricket Australia for comment.

There was only a small batch of tickets put out for the pre-sales.

Ridiculous.

Such a shame this is a practice game. Plus it's a lock out for everyone other than Arundel members, so there goes any chance of it being televised.

South Africa are a huge chance to shock Australia and the world by winning the world test championship.

The presale ticketing system didn't allow you to select the exact seat. I bought refundable tickets so that I could switch them when the whole stadium opens up for sale.
Dude, put your name down for membership, I can help you with nomination if you need it.

A sad reminder. For over 10 years dad has bought me tickets to Boxing day this time each year as his Christmas present.
Sadly passed away last Friday so boxing day will be a bit more sombre on the couch.

Ashes tickets were a shitshow - I got NOTHING. Hopefully my mate who was also trying got me one for Day 1. Nothing quite like a Boxing Day Ashes Test.

I'm genuinely worried for the WTC final without any real lead-up matches.
