WWE SUPER SHOW -MCG October 6

Friend of mine is in the $150 section and posted a pic on facebook. Could barely make out the ring in the background. MCG is NOT designed for a show like this.

I was in the $230 seats M3 row P (punt Rd end) and I ended up watching the screen for 90% of the time. Atmosphere was close to nonexistent as well except during cruiserweight match and the main event. MCG is just too big for a wrestling show it is not an NFL field. I guess the seats on the wing northern stand side) would've been slightly better but still the ring was just too far away and no stage being raised meant there was nothing to see the majority of the time without looking at the screens

IF they do another show like this again Docklands is the way to go or just stick with rod laver but bump up ticket prices.

Anyone go to the 2002 Global Warning show at Docklands and tonight? What was the difference in the view/seats?

In the CBD waiting for the tram home. Wasn't completely bad. But **** I feel for anyone who travelled to Melbourne to watch what they dished up.

Lucky me and the wife turned it into a week holiday.. took is 5 and a half hours to drive from st george to brisbane.... an hour on the train to the airport then 2 and a half hours plane flight. Got tl do it all again Thursday. ..

The start of the night crowd wise was great but the same thing happened as WM everyone got tired....

Should of given it too Sydney and ANZ...

May I also say for my first time at the MCG all the staff we're great helping me to my seat... and its a ******* gigantic stadium compared to the gabba.

There were 2 women with 5 kids in front of us. 2 of the kids were asleep less than half way through and I heard the women saying they'd been up since 5am as they flew down from Sydney  Ah yeah no s**t your kids are asleep. One of the women disappeared quite early and came back with a full tray of vodka/lemonades saying "I can't sit through this for this long without drinking". A few dad's around me seemed to have the same idea. So a good chunk of the crowd was uninterested parents escorting young kids (which was to be expected - by everyone except the concession stands who didn't stock t-shirts for kids  )

I had that sort of view at Global Warning and it was great, the fact they can bring the seats in made a huge difference and an actual stage!

I could see the ring and action inside it ok from side on but nothing outside the ring or any of the entrances

I mean overall it wasn't bad. Two great matches with AJ/Joe and Buddy/Cedric, some good matches with the opener and Becky/Charlotte. Otherwise kind of bland and forgettable.

Pretty much sums up WWE these days.

The taker/triple h match wasn't good but the entrances alone were worth it. They got the biggest pops of the night besides buddy murphy.

Funny I was a kid and went to Global Warming had expensive seats and couldn't see over the person infront of me and missed majority of the show.

Tonight had 300 seats and seriously could see 40% of the ring spent most the time watching on TV

I'm done with the WWE shows live just stick to them on the network.

I had seats just to the right of the camera stand in the $150 area on the ground. Couple of take away points:
- no raised entrance meant we couldn't see a thing till they got in the ring. No vision of entrances on screens either for 95% of the time. This was by far the most annoying thing on the night.
- mikes under the ring were so loud and sounded shithouse
- Murphy match easily my fave
- dq finish for Becky match was lame. Crowd loves her, and yet we have to boo tings like that. Was pretty lazy, as far as Dqs go.
- security got a bit light on towards the end so I snuck right forward and stood 5 m from the ring for the finish of taker v hhh.
- having seats on the ground and full strength beer made the long hikes to the toilet seem ages!

I enjoyed the night for what it was. Definitely think Miz didn't hear the one count as Lil Naitch was in a different position for that, he just went through for the bell after a delay to try and save face.

I know this isn't going to a popular opinion--- but I really enjoyed Super Show Down.

We got a few really fun matches in Styles/Joe, Cedric/Buddy, New Day/Sheamus & Cesaro & Lynch/Charlotte--- the 'big event' aspect with Ronda Rousey, John Cena's first appearance in months (a complete piss take, but it was fun), a few Australian's winning and the story-telling epic that was HHH/Undertaker.

My favourite live WWE experience I've ever had (most of the Melbourne shows and about half a dozen shows in the US; including the 900th Raw and Survivor Series 2010)-- purely because it didn't pretend to be anything it wasn't-- it was a fun show that had a bit of storyline progression, but was mostly for the fans here in Melbourne.

Whilst overall was a good night I sat in D section on the ground and could not see much and the fact there wasn’t a large screen in that area made it harder,we had to turnaround most of the night and watch it on the screen behind us.

I decided to see Japanese Doom legends Church of Misery (Demonic Ascent would approve - more Electric Wizard t-shirts than an Electric Wizard gig) but I digress. I've watched part of the show and it all seemed pretty meh to me. I think the MCG is too big for wrestling and the best wrestling venues are those when you are close to (or can at least feel part of the action). They did the right thing in putting Buddy Murphy over but Ray Charles would have been that one coming. Asuka has gone from a kick arse, shooter type to another character on a TV show. And call me a Jim Cornette fan boy if you like (the shoe very much fits) but I liked it when the title match was the main event. Not something buried in the middle of the card.
