Maybe they just want another good in-ring technician on the main roster, to make others look good.

Good technicians (which they aren't short of on the men's side though) may come to be more valuable with the move to Fox. Fox are positioning Smackdown to be a part of their sports lineup and are rumored to be interested in a more legit/competitive presented and performed show.

AGREE - FOX will want more "wrestler types" and less gimmicky characters. More action. Less promos and useless backstage antics and set ups. Women exclusively on RAW - 205 and a couple of NXT matches on Smackdown which goes to 3 hour format. Work more on tag team wrestling FFS (a lost art). Big hosses on RAW (Roman/Joe/Lars/Braun/Lashley).

Switch Kofi and Seth. Seth/Balor/McIntyre/Apollo/Zayn/Riccochet+Black to SD. Owens/New Day/Hardys/Joe to RAW

The Fox Networks are paying for WWE, not some fake fighting or pseudo-MMA product. If they wanted the latter, they would have stayed with actual MMA, and re-upped their UFC deal.

With the amount of money being paid, I assume WWE will be aired on FOX (the original US equivalent of our FOX8), so the Fox Networks will just want the most entertaining product possible, that will get as many eyes on there as possible. People like Seth and Ronda are the most popular and well-known personalities in WWE, so that would be the reason to put them on SmackDown, not some fictional edict about it being the "wrestling" brand.

Inb4 the dirtsheets are just making up more "rumours", which can be glossed over with the "plans changed" cover-all down the line.

Don't Fox want Smackdown to drop the PG stuff, read somewhere they want a more attitude era style product.

Again, given the money they're paying, and that they'll likely be putting the show on their main entertainment channel in prime time, I'm sure they just want the most entertaining product possible that will bring in the most viewers and advertising revenue. They'll want a return on their investment, first and foremost.

So Fox buy a show that makes more money now than ever and want to change it back to ape an era when it made less money to recoup its investment in said show.

Seems legit.

'Sportslike' yeah right. Week 1 WWE Championship (will happen anyway). Give all the other championships a main event for how long that takes - 4 weeks? Suckers go "Cool, they're finally treating them like they mean something". Week 6 maybe bookend WWE Championship. Then we never hear 'sportslike' again.

I really don't see anything special in Murphy TBH.

Honestly, if he wasn't Australian, would anyone here care even half as much about him as they do?

Is a better worker than three quarters of the roster. Could have quality matches with just about anybody.
Sells better than the majority of the roster.
Being Australian should he helpful to his cause honestly. With the WWE trying out these global PPV specials, it's important they have the representation of as many countries as possible. You only had to see the reaction to his win at Super Showdown to know it was a big deal.

The one knock on him could be his talking, but it wasn't so much as a weakness for him during his title run as it was just not his best attribute. He can still get it done.

WWE better call up Rock and Stone Cold and Undertaker and any other old bloke they can to make some early appearances, then, because you can only draw viewers with star acts, and at the moment the WWE has zero.

Half the bloody matches we see are tags already!

Yes and no. The tag matches we see are just thrown together, so no real substance or meaning to them.

The only real tag teams on the main rosters are the Uso’s, the Revival, Anderson and Gallows, AOP, New Day and the Bar.

Back in the late 80’s early 90’s in the WWF you had the Dream Team, British Bulldogs, Strike force(debatable), The Rockers, Demolition, Smoking Guns, powers of Pain, The Killer Bees, The young Stallions and the Hart Foundation.

Back then tag team wrestling meant something, even if a team wasn’t involved in the belts, they still had a story to work with another team, that no longer happens, it’s eith going for the belts, or forgotten about and left off tv, until they are going for the belts again.

Instead of seeing actual tag teams competing, you get random hookups, where somebody in creative decided to swipe right on a certain pairing(s)

Woah.

A few questions.

1. The Viking Experience? Are you ******* serious. My ******* god. They changed their names as well lmao. What the ******* *.
2. Where's their belts?
3. Why are they tagging with The Revival?
