Two nights changed it from being special (when it's good) to feeling like a streaming series going much longer than needed
2x 3.5-4 hr shows are easier to watch than 1x 5-7hr show

Off the top of my head the only single night WrestleMania that went over 5 hours was 2016
it's slightly easier now since they don't hold matches on the pre-show.

the WM with the Becky/Charlotte/Ronda main event went forever.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs John Cena (Undisputed WWE Championship)
Gunther (c) vs Jey Uso (World Heavyweight Championship)
Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Charlotte Flair (WWE Women's Championship)
IYO SKY (c) vs Bianca Bel Air (Women's World Championship)
Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton
Roman Reigns vs CM Punk vs Seth Rollins

So Rhea will officially get added to the women's world championship.

Drew McIntyre Vs Damien Priest
A.J. Styles Vs Logan Paul

Possibly a 4-way between Bron Breaker Vs Penta Vs Dominic Mysterio Vs Finn Balor for the IC Title.

Something similar with the US Title quite possibly.

Liv needs to get onto that card somewhere. Naomi Vs Jade?

I'm very curious to hear whether anyone is going this year.

After the announcement that next year is in New Orleans I think there's some chance that next year is the year for me. Problem is that, by the time they announce a city, everything for the next WM is already set, so you can't really follow along for packages and different show's ticket sales.

I'd like to figure out as much as I can about WM packages and tickets to indy shows as it's happening this year if I can.

How exciting! Wish I could come with you.

There's plenty of time for tickets. When I went, I decided late on, but I could still get tickets to many different shows.
Check out this sub-reddit if you haven't already. Links to all the shows and ticket sales. Should be the same for next year. LINK HERE

Don't forget Wrestlecon. Get to meet and take photos with legends and they have Q&A sessions and other events.
LINK HERE (Las Vegas site, but will be same for next year).

If you're not staying nearby, the return coach service to the arena is handy. It included a package with some snacks, water (needed it after all the beers lol), an indy wrestling dvd which was pretty cool, and some other things. Otherwise, taxis and Ubers would be diffcult after the event.

I also booked my hotel through them. Wrestlecon and shuttles to WM were all conveniently at/from the same hotel.
Many of the talent stay there too. They're at the bar you'll drink at, you'll share lifts with them, bump into them at restaurants. It's surreal!

Thanks so much for this! An incredible wealth of info! Looking at a few different pieces of info it seems like you wouldn't even need to lock in a decision until probably Christmas, so that's good.

Something about this years WrestleMania isn't exciting me.

The triple threat between Roman/Seth/Punk not having a title also bothers me. Hope they do something with it.
I reckon they had something during War Games for a non-title Punk vs Roman match at Mania, no interest in Rollins being included.

hopefully America doesn't go to complete crap (price-wise etc), so you can attend.

do you get the vibe that's it's a slow burn until SummerSlam, since that's a 2 nighter as well?
Maybe do the triple threat at Summerslam. Mania is the biggest show of the year. Reigns vs Punk is a bigger match than a triple threat.

Any of the combinations are bigger and better than a triple threat (although we've probably seen enough of Rollins v Punk now). Rollins v Reigns also more preferable to me than this. Better be something big on the line to justify a crappy triple threat.

Off the top of my head the only single night WrestleMania that went over 5 hours was 2016
Wrestlemania 35 in NJ (2019), went officially for 5 hours 24 minutes. When you factor in preshow matches (Buddy Murphy was cruiserweight champion wrestled Tony Nese on preshow), the event as a whole went for 7 and half hours.

When the main event finished (Rousey-Lynch-Flair triple threat), it was after midnight local time. Longest sporting event I've been to in my life. I'm so glad WM is two days now.

I guess a comparable is those sickos that go to cricket test matches. Turn up at before 10am start and leave at 6pm stumps. I cant imagine doing that for 5 straight days let alone 1 day.

Will have to watch both nights on delay, so at night our time. Night 1 will clash with Easter, and then Night 2 with going to the Easter Monday game, so will need to avoid spoilers until I can watch both.

Tbf, the whole point of going to the Test is going to the pub for breakfast and then again at the end of play, and in between going to the bar at the ground for the lunch and tea breaks, as well as whenever drinks are brought onto the field, and also whenever you're feeling a little thirsty yourself...and I'm not doing much to convince you the actual game is worth watching...

Yeah there’s not a lot to get excited about plus I think the build up is way too long, late April is ridiculous for Mania.

The fact the most interesting match has zero implications doesn’t help and a nothing title match for Raw.

surprisingly, the build up from EC to WM is only 1 week longer this year, compared to last year. it doesn't feel like it!
