I'm a fan but probably won't go when they hit Sydney.

I can't say that I am overly drawn into WWE at the moment, not a big fan of Orton or Cena and don't really care for them being involved with the title.

Am enjoying Fox8's coverage of TNA though, special seeing Sting in action.

I'm an old school WCW man, seeing some of the old guys still out there is awesome.

Watched TNA for the first this weekend and gee hasn't Angle and Christian shrunk.

Yeah, Nah the WWE at the minute is for the tip. Too many blonks with the one move between them (yep the punch) doesn't auger well for exciting wrestling.

For me the best period of wrestling was the return of Sting as the dark brooding warrior out to seek revenge against the Wolfpack. Who could forget the times when the Wolfpack would invade a ring only for the lights to go out and up in the rafters was Sting with baseball in hand looking down at them. I get goosebumps thinking about it still.

That was wrestling.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure it was just the nWo in their original incarnation that were terrorised by Sting, after they introduced the fake Sting.

The Wolfpac were formed when Nash and Savage rebelled against the nWo, luring Konnan, Lex Luger, Curt Hennig (?) and eventually Sting to the fold forming the best faction in wrestling history. Yes. Greater than D-X. The pops they would get were huge.

And in a further, slightly hazy recollection, in the last few weeks of the Wolfpac they recruited DDP, meanwhile there was always the satisfying threat of The Outsiders reforming with old drunk Scott Hall hanging around with his tazer, and his 'assist' with Nash's heavyweight title victory over Goldberg which may or may not have ended Goldberg's unbeaten run.

And then WCW died.

'Twas the night after Nash's win. Things couldn't have been better for WCW ratings wise, when they decided to go with the bone-headed move of Nash falling to Hogan's 'Fingerpoke of Doom' and the Wolfpac merging with the nWo to form the nWo Elite.

Impact? No. Their first major move was beating the crap out of Konnan (snooze). And WCW could have saved themselves with one thing... Sting vs nWo, full circle.

But no. Sting never said one goddamn word about it.

And David Arquette eventually won the Heavyweight title.

Forever tainted, WCW dies, taken over by WWE.

I'll miss and love you forever, WCW.

But fcuk you.

But for every Shockmaster, there's a Disciple. Or Vampiro. Or Wall. Or Berlyn. Or Alex Wright (wait a minute...).

Actually, I'm often too harsh on The Disciple... who could forget his fine acting during the Hogan/Ultimate Warrior feud, famous for The Warrior stalking Hogan and driving him into paranoia. I recall a fine moment where Warrior appeared in Hogan's mirror and only Hogan could see him... Hogan and, um, the viewers.

But I digress. This is about The Disciple, a man who, when called upon to disappoint, rarely disappointed.

Here is one of his classic lines, spoken to The Warrior:

Disciple: "Get out of my face or I'll rearrange it for you".

Brilliant.

In the very same episode, we also got this gem from the Dog-Faced Gremlin himself, Rick Steiner:

Rick (to Scott Steiner, whom I believe he was feuding with): "Let's finish this once and tonight".
