Eddie mcguire just spoke on his new show
About back in 1985 a merger between north melbourne had been approved

They were going to be known as the melbourne kangaroos
Play at the mcg
Train at ardenstreet

The jumper was a red "v" current melbourne v with blue and white stripes underneath.

Only reason it didnt go ahead was because they could not decide who was going to be president.

Wow. Ya learn somthing new everyday

Does anyone know what guernseys were worn in the 1988 Adelaide Bicentennial Carnival, in particular the VFA and the Australian Amateurs teams?
Belive it or not a relative of mine played in s.a for the ammos in this carnival.
Ive got his jumper. Its a navy blue jumper with a white sewn on v on the front

Mero, with the ANZAC Day patches for the Pies/Bombers game, are they iron on, or sublimed?

Also, why doesn't every other club wear it for that round.
They are printed on.
Anzac Day jumpers are new jumpers every year and not the same as worn in other H&A games.

Did you type in the web address and see where it links to.
You might not be surprised.

Back in the days before Godaddy registering a domain name was expensive for a site that makes no money.
So I used a free Angelfire account.

Angelfire was when I first discovered your site Mero! (May have been 2003 or 04 maybe?) "Mero's Footy Jumper Madness" wasn't it?

They are sublimated on the pies jumpers. Can't comment on Essendon's jumpers, never seen one up close, but as they are sponsored by Adidas I pretty sure they would be sublimated as well.

Yeah that was mate Dave's initiative.
I suggested the idea to him, but not being a web designer type person he put it together. I then kept sending him more and more graphics as I became aware of the different designs.
I think it was Carlton who suprised us the most initially.
History had documented to that point that they wore lace-ups, then the Heritage CFC, and then the CFC we were familiar with.
But then I found the all Blue jumper, the CFCCC (Football & Cricket Club), then White trimmed collar. And then there was the addition of numbers, which for them were smaller in 1911 finals, and the regular size from 1912.
It was like, 'if Carlton has had this many, how many others are we going to end up finding?'
