That was this ******* bitch laptop the school gives us.
It's so bloody small you can't type properly.
I'm fit, and my fingers are even too bloody big for the keys.
Oh no, you got a laptop for (essentially) free because you live in a country of comfort and freedom! Yeah, call that laptop a star-star-star-ing bitch. Life's horrible, hey.

Pull the other one, the T key isn't anywhere near O or Z.
Despite my age, I am not good with technology, and type weirdly, and can hit keys I'm not meaning too hahaha

Mero,

Wikipedia says:

Is there much basis to this claim and, if so, did Melbourne ever wear green?
Melbourne never wore green.
I've never heard that in 16 years of researching footy history.

The only thing I've ever heard that might be close was an official went to London and came back with a set of Red socks and a set of Grey ones, which Carlton used. Two years later they changed to Blue & White hoops.
The same Wikipedia page tells us that Carlton wore Blue socks from this trip, however this was the first effort of a club to provide a uniform for their team. Prior to this all players provided all of their uniform, which mostly consisted of a Blue work guernsey and whatever else you turned up in.
According to Carlton historians, Carlton did not wear all Blue socks until 1905.

I would take the Mozart page as closer to being accurate than the section on Melbourne we are referencing.

What's even worse is the author using them to back up a rather horrific article. He even claimed Brisbane were to be commended on their jumpers, yet the Bulldogs and Port's clash jumpers were abominations.

Hadn't even read the article.. what a joke!

Most of the jumpers he singles out as being poor in white are teams that already have white in their colours! Port, Dogs, Gold Coast, GWS, Fremantle... ALL teams with white in their home jumper already! Ridiculous argument.

Although I do agree with his notion of the clash jumpers being worn unnecessarily. I don't think the dogs royal blue (with or without white shorts) would clash with essendon in full black.

(OT: 1000th post! :p:thumbsu:)

And Mero's images get ripped off again, but at least its good to see some recognition for them...

http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/afl/2012-afl-clash-jumpers-20120702-21cmn.html

Just a shame that they got the Eagles wrong. They put the royal wings away jumper up instead of the white clash.
That's not ripping them, that's how I prefer them to be used.
With proper recognition of where they got them.
What would be worse would be a bad article with bad photos of players.
Most of which they would probably get wrong.

What I am thinking of doing, though, it watermarking all of them and if you want to use them you can, but I will supply the unmarked graphics.

But havn't you thought about it before and just not been happy with the outcome?

They did credit you afterall, which is all you ask.
And they will just rip the watermarked ones, and put them on, instead of writing the URL down below, so either way, you have your jumpers with your URL.

One question though, have you contacted The Age, and said, I'll sell you the rights to use my jumpers in your papers, on a 2 year contract for X amount of money in return, and then we can re-talk at the end.
That way you get money, and you know your property is a little safer.

The Age wouldn't pay for them.
They wouldn't use them at all, they would just go with pics from GSP, to whom they already pay to use images.

I was thinking something interesting to do would be to do a quick quiz, based solely on information on footyjumpers.com.
Once you answer one question correctly, you cannot provide another answer.

So.

1. What year was the first Clash jumper used?(Clash being defined as different from the Home jumper for the purposes of avoiding a jumper clash between the two)
SJ - 1914
2. Which team wore it?

3. Who were the first two teams to wear numbers on jumpers in a game?

4. Where was this game played?

5. Which clubs have worn a sash on their jumper at some point in their history? There's 7.

6. What did StKilda use to distinguish their first Red & Black guernseys from other clubs who wore Red & Black?

7. Of the current Clash jumpers, which clubs have non club colours as the main colour of their Clash jumper? Club colours being defined as the colours listed by the AFL and used in the club logo and Home jumper. There's 7.

8. Which clubs used another club's jumper as their first heritage jumper? I would take 3, though I actually believe it's 2.

9. Which team won a VFA premiership in every year they wore a certain jumper design?

10. For how many years did Richmond have an all Black back to their jumpers?

11. What colour were Carlton's first socks?

12. Which two clubs have had 5 different VFL/AFL official logos since 1977?

13. Which two seasons Grand Final patches have the AFL premiership cup in them?

14. What year was the first Anzac day logo?

15. When Geelong first wore caps, what colour were they?

16. Which clubs have worn Red shorts in the VFL/AFL? (4)
(SILENT ALARM - Gold Coast, Sydney, Essendon & Footscray)
17. Which two teams have worn Magenta in their history?

18. Which two teams have used State jumpers as their heritage jumper?

19. Which individual players have had one-off jumpers made in their honour? (not a whole team or list of premiership players)

20. Which club has worn the most preseason jumper designs, on jumper that were not used in Home & Away games
(AENIMENCE - Richmond 10)
Bonus question
Which footy jumper killed someone? And how?

When an answer is correct, I will update this post in BOLD and also 'Like' and quote your post saying it was correct.
if it's been answered, don't do posting the answer, it will only be ignored.

Gold Coast Suns, South Melbourne/Sydney Swans, Essendon, Footscray.

This is supposed to be based off of our own general jumper knowledge, yes?

I reckon I could give all those questions a fair go and score about 70%. But I won't try my luck at risk of shame, embarrassment, humiliation, and some other synonyms... I don't want Andonis to think I'm dumb.

Correct, and as stated in the rules, you are now 100% but retired from the contest.
Think of it like junior cricket, you've made your 30, now sit down and let the other kids have a go.
If they go All Out, you might get another chance later.
And some people can do it from their general knowledge, but some might need to have a look at the site. I. for example, know all of these off the top of my head, a Vietnamese rice farmer wouldn't know many of them. Probably only the questions pertaining to Footscray.

13. 2002 and 2003 GFs. It's more challenging when you do it off the top of your head, I reckon.

Also I know the story to the footy jumper killing, I just can't remember which jumper/player it was.
