Question - how do sites like HFK, Colours of Football, SportsLogos.net etc get away with sponsors on their kits when you (Mero) aren't allowed? Are the F.A. less stringent on intellectual property than the AFL?

I don't know how they get away with it, but I don't think they're emailing them asking what they think either.

As far as uniforms, the AFL might be the only ones to license the rights to showing their IP to an individual company. And that's their beef with everyone. Not that you don't have the right to display a jumper, for example, you just don't have the right to do it unless you're their official website provider.
Up until the last year or so, Essendon ran their own website and had to pay the AFL to use their own logo on it.
So I would guess that's the reason.

I noticed an omission with the Crows logos. It's missing this 97-98 logo,

I took a punt on changing the URL from the 1991 logo and saw you'd already created it, but i'm guessing just forgot to add on the logos page?

Weird, don't know why I didn't have the dates, because I knew they changed it to that when Port came in, so everyone would know which team was ADELAIDE.
Anyway, fixed now.

At great expense to the management, I have now updated all of the long sleeve jumpers from the old template to the new one. The clubs that were affected were Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Fitzroy, footscray, Geelong, Hawthorn (pre VFL only), Melbourne, North, Port (pre AFL only), Richmond, StKilda & South. Where required, I've changed the pre-VFL/AFL jumpers, as well as the VFL ones.
Please have a look at see if you can find any I've missed.

As far as logos are concerned, didn't Collingwood have a White look in 1995-96?

What about including Richmond's 100th birthday logo from 2008 and Melbourne's secondary logo for 2009-10?

The one they had for their all White clash strip.

I thought secondary logos weren't really a part of the plan, but I'd have a blast locating them. There have been some crackers.

I have a question Mero, when the Saints changed to red, black and yellow because of the German Empire's colours during WWI, why did they change back?

That was an ABC show. And it was the logo for that show for a short while.
It used to be on Saturday nights after the footy, in the days when the games were played on Saturday afternoons. (And then one game in Sydney every second Sunday)
Depending on how long it took you to get home from the footy that weekend, it would be on when you got home.
And then depending on whether you won or not detemined whether you watched it or not.
Then The Big Replay was on Channel 7 and that started half an hour after The Winners.
If your team lost, you watched Hey Hey It's Saturday with Darryl & Ossie.
Only from about 1985 onwards, when HHIS moved to 6:30 so it wouldn't clash with the coverage of the Ashes tour in England.
From 1971-83, Hey Hey It's Saturday was on Saturday mornings. One of its original hosts was a star footballer with Collingwood: Peter McKenna. He was paired with a young aspiring drummer called Daryl Somers. McKenna's footy began to suffer and the coach told him it's TV or football, not both. He was replaced on the show by a pink ostrich and the rest is history.
In 1984 Hey Hey moved to Saturday nights... LATE night, starting at 9:30 and finishing up about midnight. This was to give a greater focus to the music aspect of the show.

The Saturday night replay on Channel 7 was a staple through the 1990s - and Drew Morphett hosted that too. Mid 1990s, I can remember 6:00-7:30pm was the replay, and then a game on the Saturday night.

My dad tells me that back in the 1960s and early 1970s, all three commercial networks showed a full replay of a game of the day - e.g. Channel 7 might have Carlton v Collingwood, Channel 9 with Richmond v Fitzroy, Channel 10 with Hawthorn v North Melbourne. In black and white, of course.

Why not start up an alternate site with the extra footy logos. Mero might be amenable to putting a link to a new site for "further information" which you'd be providing. :)

I thought Richmond's 100th logo was to be used in place of the regular club logo for all 2008 only, but I don't think the media treated it as such. Partly I believe that is because the media takes anything Richmond says with a grain of salt.

Another secondary logo for discussion:
Last week at Richmond v North Melbourne, my brother pointed out that the game was meant to be a Eureka match, as many past Tigers v Roos games have been. It seems that is a concept which has been quickly forgotten by the powerbrokers at both clubs (i.e. idiots).

Special match logos could even be shown in a grid/matrix... either that, or the navigation could be done that way.
Some matches don't have logos, e.g. Berry Street Cup - oh wait that's another special match Richmond's turned its back on
