ooh she's from the Voice Kids? I didnt know that, explains why Mel B picked her.

Well, Adam was smart by letting her go during the chair challenge.

I remember Natalie in her first episode and thought she was a screamer who was good at imitating Christina Aguilera but no originality.

Yep, not that I knew it as I didn't watch the show, but I think she came 2nd or 3rd. Mel was her mentor.

I hated Natalie thought she was awful. My ears were bleeding after last night!

There was something about Maddie that was always unlikeable, not even totally sure what it is. I mean yeah her singing didn't do much for me but there's something else. Think Guy probably got close to the reason... she just doesn't come across as authentic or something.

She comes across as very 'stiff' on stage with no personality, there is no facial expressions and very little interaction. I find her being a screamer with zero personality.

Yes that's it. She isnt authentic and just assumes having a big voice means you'll be a star.

She was told last year this same thing, didn't learn one bit.

Natalie is out? I didn't watch it due to Survivor but didn't all the judges give her a standing ovation?

They were tone deaf. She screamed all the way through!

Her last note especially had me cringing, I was surprised they didn't pull her up for it.

I don't know about anyone else but judging from my feelings X Factor has run its race. I'm just totally meh towards it this season.

Same, it's such an old formula now.

I see why x factor and idol were axed in the usa

It is pretty meh. The only reason I even took notice of this new season was knowing Adam was going to be on it who I'm a big fan of.

Not the most exciting bunch of contestants either.

Yeah, feel as though the show has run it's race. Are there many acts from the show still going around? Dami Im? Samanha Jade? anyone else?

I've followed it in the UK since 2007 (the year after Leona Lewis won) that had some amazing years. 2008 was fantastic, Alexandra Burke, the winner that year, amazing voice.

this is reality tv and is ultimately disposable viewing. the authenticity runs thin with all these type of programs but i watch it with a sense of harmless fun

Little Mix came out of the UK X Factor (won it), they are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) girl bands right now.

summed up in cave man words - tonight

AYA - meh, song was not memorable in their hands. in danger

vlado - ok in his niche but bland as bat shit for me

Chynna - doing what they did to that particular u2 track is blasphemy but was catchy enough in her strong and easy vocals. could be in danger due to song arrangement

Amalia - she has a haunting voice and i enjoyed her version vocally moreso than Madonna, so kudos but will her style have durability on this type of show?.

Brentwood - glad they are not doing folk overkill. like the song choice but he seems a little shaky in parts. i find them interesting but i feel they may be in danger

Davey - he is a bit of a throwback to a 70s/80s type of singer. believable emotion but would be an acquired taste for the younger mainstream but will be popular with the other set.

Beatz- generally prefer this girl group to the other. like their cheeky personalities. don't know about the change up in the song but they seem more adaptable and tighter as a group but Mel's choice may have them in trouble. hope not

Isaiah - like the tone of his voice and is a likable person. not sure about the power of his voice but he is believable and has vocal gymnastics

In terms of the judges comments, Guy while overtalking generally nails his comments and his experience on the show shows, and I like Adam's ear and succinctness. Mel is theatrically fair and Iggy is inconsiderately honest but not articulate

verdict - either one of the girl groups go with Brentwood the outsider

Can't see wither one of the girls groups going, they were two of probably the strongest 3 or 4 tonight.

Davey- pitchy, rubbish song. Stop with the sob stories too (that isn't a pot shot at him but more the production).
Brentwood- Not sure what Iggy is doing with this group.

Roughie to be in the bottom 2- Amalia (pretty forgettable performance)

James Arthur did ok, he has a new song out at the moment.

5th Harmony were from the US X Factor, I dont like their songs but they have done well.

You're right, lots have done well since 2008. One Direction, Little Mix, Olly Murs. My comment was more in relation to Australia.
