Which is sad because he's a really great operator so we'll never knowNah, the actual person is fine, what s**** people is nepotism. Even you know how and why he got the job/s he has in the media.

Journalism including news reading and commentating used to be very blue collar.
I wonder if a Quartermain-type could break through today?
Yeah it's a good question. These late millenials, early Gen Z journalists that we're seeing on TV, it seems like it's just a question of which elite APS school they went to, which is a different planet to the path that the Gen Xers and Boomers took to get there.
Quartermain was very middle class but yes , there is a whole coterie of jobs that didn't need qualifications but now do. It feeds into the whole university is a scam thing...but quiet...the last person who said that was not allowed to existJournalism including news reading and commentating used to be very blue collar.

Even Eddie, he is upper class now no doubt, but built his career a blue collar way and for the most part still operates that way.

Guys like him and Whateley developed their craft like a trade. As we all do, improving in our jobs with experience.Quartermain is a pompous ****. Blue collar !?!? You’re having a giraffe.
Yeah he's a good one.I like Quarters.
I'm not sure that's the issue, it's more that the industry has contracted so much there is nowhere to learn the trade.Quartermain was very middle class but yes , there is a whole coterie of jobs that didn't need qualifications but now do. Up in the country on a local paperI'm not sure that's the issue, it's more that the industry has contracted so much there is nowhere to learn the trade.
