if Xavier Clarke can stay fit he could be quite a handy player this year. i saw him play and he was looking good. He did get like 29 touches against the kangas which is good. what do you guys think about him this year?

Do you think he will have a really big year possession wise? Seeing he hasn't been a big accumulator or possessions in the past has he imporved in this aspect?

He has had a solid pre-season. He got 29 poss and 12 marks in our praccy verse kangas so some promising signs.

As long as he stays injury free he should have a pretty decent year.

Is your question Donsforever in regards to dreamteam, by any chance?

Raff is back in training. He looked so forlorn watching them train without being able to participate earlier. He has a long way to go but has started on the road to recovery.

A number of us posters can sympathise about his back injury. They can be so painful and debilitating - without any obvious visible injury - so that people tend to not realise that there is anything wrong.

I think X might need to spend a fair bit of his time in defence if Gram is played up the ground more this season.

Lyon has tried to distance himself from the popular belief that we'll be playing a similar style to Sydney. However if we do employ a similar game plan we'll need players like Clarke and Gram playing off half-back in a similar role to the way the Swans use Kennelly.

Youve got to play him forward. But when hes fully fit and back in the groove put him on a wing,

I don't know if there's a lot of room for him in the forward line.

I agree that pushing him into the midfield or on a wing is the best option when he's up and running though.

Wing. He's yet to convince me he can play in tight well enough to be an on baller. But when he's fully fit, his pace on the wing is deadly. Remember back to 04 and 05? Ah, what a talented young lad he was.

based on tonight, its possible. doesnt have the courage of ball tho, but i suppose he has had bad luck with injuries so he may play a lil cautious sometimes, played v well tho
