Pretty happy about that. Can't see how he could've improved the side tbh.

Apparently west coast are now leading the race (not a bad thing)

What a rubbish article. It mentions that West Coast will have to trade for Ellis. He's an unrestricted free agent ffs.

Is is just me or is there a distinct lean towards WCE recruiting .... well anyone. After all they are after Yeo, Bootsma (both for pick 24 which if that happens will be a pure miracle), Ellis and before the end of the day i am sure there will be some muppet saying that now Shaw has changed his mind and wants to go to WCE.

+ Cale Morton from last year :P

Those players probably realised breaking into a Freo side having played the GF will be a tough call versus breaking into a young bottom 8 side.. Apart from Yeo, the others are barely going to make the grade at Freo.

I don't know why people are getting their nose bent out of shape about this - look at the type of players that are looking to make it to WCE, not the numbers.

It's players either too young or that aren't cracking regular games that want to get there. If it were established superstars I might actually give a toss, but they're not. I for one hope the likes of Bootsma & Ellis are successful in their endeavours to get to WCE. :cool:

Thing is, it's not a new phase. Of course they took Cripps and Tunbridge and, the one I am most excited about, they liked Dick.

Both Sylvia and Ellis would have been better suited to the Eagles given their lack of midfield talent at the moment. I guess Homer Simpson would have intimate knowledge of Ellis after being at Hawthorn as an assistant coach.

rekon sylvia would be perfect for west coast, but dont rekon they'd be any good for him.

Ellis obviously lacks ambition either that or has bought a timeshare in Greece for September every year!

West Coast are making the same mistakes we made under Swab and Connelly .
They have had players retire and bought more for less .
You think that they would have learnt something from the Dick fiasco ,but no more of the same thanks
What a joke:mad::mad::confused:

I don't get the Ellis hate at all. He would easily be worth a spot on West Coasts list. He is a great player if he can get his body right and even if he is out of the side half a dozen times with injury, Kerr has been for years now and they will miss him.

Two years ago we would have killed for a player like Ellis.

Lucky for us this isn't two years ago and Kerr's current form will be missed but no where near as much as his form 5 years ago. Although I think if Ellis does get himself right he will be very handy for WC.

Some WC supporters still picture Kerr in this vien not as he now is. WC need to recruit for the future and draft or trade for some gun mids over the next few years.
