when you go into shops to buy games. do you buy 5-6 games at once or 1-2??? 1-2. because you don't need 5-6 games all at one time

And on sendit.com 40 pounds per game + shipping. that's over $90 per game.

Play-asia is cheaper than that.

LOL maybe he thought you weren't going to check his cheap site!

I got R&C + MS + R:FOM for like 150 all up from sendit

PS3 games aren't region coded so you can always get them for much less than they retail for in Australia. Rarely do you have to spend as much as $60

speaking of PS3 region coding, has anyone tried an imported blu-ray movie - do they, or the PS3 itself, have region coding, and if so there is way around it?

The US 5 disc Blade Runner on blu-ray looks damn tempting, and about half the price of the local 5 dvd version ;)

As if.
Say we get a game at thirty pounds there, and get three games. Ninety pounds. Postage is one pound fifty per game (from the looks of it), so 94.5 pounds all up. That is $216. $150, as if.

I get my games off ebay, I bought Bioshock multiregion for $70, and there are a lot of games that price too on there aswell.

the PS3 itself isn't region free..

you'd have to see if the blu-ray you're getting is region free or not.

Yep - all PS3 games are region free

All titles from Warner region free

All titles from Paramount region free (Paramount have since accepted a 150 million dollar payment from Microsoft to make titles exclusively for HD-DVD, but you can still get them from some sites)

All titles from Lionsgate region free (except for Crank) - Lionsgate make really good quality titles by the way as far as PQ and AQ go

Disney have some titles marked region A, but are starting to use multi format only

Sony still mark their titles by region, but it's been found out that most region A titles work in region B or C machines anyway - which is good for those of us in the Land of Oz.

It was 150. I know a lot of sites are overstocked with MS and R:FOM - maybe that's why?

As of right now about $215 for three games sounds right - still much cheaper than buying 3 games on 360 at 100 a piece (mind you, you'd have to find 3 games actually worth buying on the Ps3)

Got it in one :thumbsu:

First it was "rare" to have to spend as much as $60 per game, now it "sounds right" that games are around $71 each? Sounds like your bending the prices to suit your argument, until you get caught out of course.

did I say rare? I apologise if I did, that's a bit misleading. Considering I only own like, 5 games on PS3 - I don't really have the experience in purchasing them regularly enough to say whether something is "rare" or "common".

I'm just telling you that it is definitely an advantage of buying games for PS3 as you get them on the same day someone in the US/Japan does.

Except that you would get them atleast a day or two after the US/Japan. Overseas shipping isn't overnight ;)

Not if you pre-order, I'm speaking more on blu-ray here, but quite opften I've pre-ordered blu-rays and received them up to two weeks before their official release date in the states,
