i got mine about one week ago and so far i have loaded on about 12 games, i love the MOD. i payed $350 bucks for around 80 - 100 games (200 Gigabytes)

Check the trading post. See people advertising them in there sometimes.

How can you tell if the Mods are iffy or not, or isnt that an issue

I have 2 xbox consoles

my first xbox was mod chipped, my 2nd box isnt.

I'm on xbox live all the time and hardly use my mod chip console, was a waste of money IMO.

So you get games for nothing basically, but it just doesnt stack up against playing multiplayer games on live

You realize you can get switchable mod-chips that don't require buying a second X-Box to play Live?

me too the problem is mine is getting old so i cant "borrow" my mates games - AFL 2004 and V8 driver 2

mind you i wouldnt mind getting my hands on Arcade Roms they are always fun

My modchip came with all those installed. Pretty cool.

Same here, got N64 roms, Mega Drive Roms, Arcade Roms, SNEs roms... and something I put in myself, shareware LucasArts point and click adventures!

Had my box for bout 6 months now, just hanging for the X3 chip to come out, sposed to half the transfer time from the PC to the box and the most advanced chip on teh market and ill just buy a HDD and install it myself, pretty easy just gotta know what ur doing, done bout 15 so far not mine yet, so just counting down the day now.........
