You can always change out the black inner part of the controller with a replacement off amazon. There are a heap of different designs and colours now and it is very easy.

My buddy called our local EB on Thursday or Friday (Fountain Gate) and they had one out the back with no preorder on it. They said come down and get it so he did. Another mate did the same thing with Frankston JB Hifi picked up same day.
