Getting arrested and spending the night in the Cowes lockup at Phillip Island last night.

Well I guess he didn't rape anyone (time for that next time)

According to 3AW - a Mr. Everitt from down Moorabin way or a 26yo man from East Brighton as the police put it.

Allegedly, was pissed out of his brain, punched out a few good folk in Main Street Cowes, let off some illegal crackers in the main street, cops came, resisted arrest and laid a good left hook on a copper and broke his jaw. Spent the rest of the night in jail.

Charged and released this morning, will appear in court next month.

ohhhh god lol lol lol !!!

Spidey
Show some respect for a great champion like Harvey, not by what he looks like. He would be by far the better captain than undisciplined spidey.

The guy is a total imbicile.

When is he going to grow up?

Punching out cops and being wasted in public. And it's not like this is a first time offence. Wouldn't be surprised if the judge put him away to make an example of him. The judge in SA with the Hueskes/Burgoyne rape case said pretty much the same thing. Everitt may even have broken a good behaviour bond from his previous idiotic instances and automatically go to the big house.

Although he is doing a great audition if he really wants to be a Magpie though.

Will Blight have the balls to sack him? Me thinks yes and then the Pies can pick him up in the next draft or the 2001 one when he get's released from prison.

yeah well i always knew he was a Collingwood boy deep down !

what a fine example--->if Spider goes to jail then so am i!!!

seriously though yes he is breaking a bond cause he already got in shit years ago for punching this coppa out then he committed all these driving offences last year or something and they said that next time hes goin to jail ahhhhhhh no way how can they put Spider Everitt in jail man he so cool.

Guess he won't be annointed St Kilda's captain now. Odd really, as 10 years ago, that would have been acceptable behaviour down at Moorabbin.

This is a hallucination and these faces are in a dream. A computer generated environment; a fantasy island you can do anything and not have to face the consequences.

I am a Saints supporter & I am glad this happened.

Because if they ever had ANY inkling of making him captain it will have been quashed by now, which is better than appointing him captain and having him flare up mid-year.

Robert Harvey is easily the man for the job, he wants it desperately & will get it.

Everitt needs to grow up.

We may be taking the piss out of Spider tonight but a serious question remains.

When he got hauled up before the courts last year - did the judge put a 12, 18, 24 month bond on him? If he did - well he's screwed majorly.

Sparks the question if yes - Will he be the first present AFL/VFL footballer to go to prison?

This on the day when the son of ex VFL star footballer now doing time is drafted.

Of course I could be a little pedantic and ask why only a few people have refered to this incident as "alleged" and that he should be deemed innocent until proven guilty but why bother.

Even if he is found not guilty of the alleged crimes it does not excuse the fact that he was down at Phillip Island boozing up and acting like a dickhead on the verge of preseason training.

A year that is shaping as one of the more exciting years in our history and a year in which he had an opportunity to captain the club.

It also ends an unprecendeted honeymoon period of 8 weeks of positive publicity for the club. I can see the smiles on the faces of Mike, Patrick and Rohan very clearly as they type out another article on the trials and tribulations of the St Kilda Football Club.

I believe Savatage is right. Robert Harvey is one of the greatest players to pull on a St Kilda guernsey and is an inspiration to everyone associated with the club. He has knocked back hundreds of thousands of dollars to stay with the saints and would be an excellent leader. Spider has amazing potential and could really be anything in this competition but unless he takes a leaf out of the Harvey/Burke book, he will remain a childish waste of talent. Regardless of this latest incident, Robert Harvey has always deserved to be given the captaincy and fingers crossed that he will.

And how boring life would be without visiting these boards after an incident involving the St Kilda Football. To miss the words of wisdom from Richmond fans would be a tragedy. Firstly we have a supporter commenting on the amount of coaches that St Kilda has gone through in recent years and secondly we have a Richmond fan talking about the amount of alcohol being consumed by St Kilda players. Keep it up guys, sometimes this place can be a little too serious.

Seems like 3AW got a little excited and embelished the story a little, seems like he didn't throttle a copper, was one of his 'mates' and the coppers jaw wasn't broken and was deemed accidental.

Dumbarse Everitt was charged with D&D, didn't hit anyone it seems (too drunk for that) just letting off illegal fireworks and trying to ping passing cars with full beer cans.

Paper says he's currently under a 12 month good behaviour bond for his numerous driving offences and earlier this year was given a suspended jail time.

Looks like he's going to be spending some time at Her Majesty's pleasure for sure.

Let's face it he's one can short of a six pack.

When will he realise that all these misdemeanours on and off the field don't make him a 'character' they make him an imbecilic fool.

Happily Harvey will now be captain, a champion on and off the field.

St Kilda have always supported wayward stars, however it could be time to show that the club and the team are more important than the individual.

The guy sounds immature and once again gives the club who has been so loyal to him and continued on his contract last year a bad image, so it will be interesting to see how Blighty pulls him into line.

But If Harvey gets the nod for the top job, I will be very glad because he seems the perfect leader and role model the club has

Spider should follow Plugger's trail to Swans. It made 'bad boy' Plugger the millionaire he is today.
