hahaha you mugs. Rich is being thrown right in the coalface and learning to

have inside skills as well as being an outside player on the wing, as he was

last year. This is still essentially a learning year for him. Unlike yarran, young

daniel rich is being primed to be a consistent

and hard ball winner, and not a down hill skier who pops up every few games

with some opportunistic goals.

In five years time:

Chris yarran = leon davis
daniel rich = brownlow medallist

btw i am not bitter about tonights win, you guys well and truly whooped our pathetic asses, i just had to comment on this ridiculous thread...

hahaha

Yarran makes me laugh, like downey jr in tropic thunder, shoots a guy from behind his back and comes out with the line, "i SEEN you muthaf@#$er..!".
Makes me laugh like that does...

Dont bother I'll do it for you,

Racist.

Yarran was always going to be better than Rich. It was all about self-belief. Yarran initially struggled to accept he belonged at the elite level. Yet 2 years later he now has the confidence to back himself every time he has the ball & is now directing teammates where to run too so he can deliver a pinpoint pass to them. The last player I saw do this on a regular basis was Greg Williams.

I will go as far as saying that Yarran has more talent than any other player on our list. This kid is going to become one of the all time Carlton greats.

well.....yeh ! :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

I love how Yarran takes the opposition on and just when it looks like he is in trouble....BAM! And he's out of it again.

He was super last night, supreme ball use and decision making. He has also taken his fitness to a whole new level.

bahahahahahahahahaha!!

Early in the year I was a little nervous about how he just looked like he was having a kick in the park when he got the footy. It just amazes me how he can jog around the back pocket at about 75% and glide away from the opposition who are absolutely busting their balls. He'll win a few BnF's in his time.

Brett Ratten has made one of the great off season moves.

More importantly......where's Parrot???

Been wondering the same thing. I like to think I can do decentish impersonations sometimes though so allow me to predict what parrot probably would say :thumbsu:

Was never in doubt. He went earlier than Rich for a reason. The only people who would be claiming Rich > Yarran would be the typical BF nuffies. lol. Rich is a good midfielder but a slow inside one sided player with a decent left cannon but ultimately is just one of many slow inside mids for the Brions. Overrated disposal anyway, watch the games closely and besides a few bullet passes he pulls off some terrible helicopter punts. He most likely peaked a long time ago.
Yarran is an incredibly naturally talented young player, pure silk and speed who will nearly always run rings around his opponents. He's even contributing in the 1%'ers and providing real leadership down there but I love the way he will take the game on nearly every time. He pretty much toys with his opponents and makes them look second rate. lol it's almost cruel to watch. Future Brownlow medalist? It's not out of the question at all.

:)

I'd have to agree though :D:thumbsu:

I think we should show our class and refrain from belittling a good young player like Rich even if Yarran is superior.

Most skilled player we have at the moment, like to see him under extreme pressure like finals type. Will improve in this area also with experience. And remember can be used up forward as well.

Yarran moving off the half back flank just reminds me of Andrew Mcleod, hopefully he can become just as good or if not better than Mcleod was and it will be a massive win for us.

I would like to see Carlton gettin Mcleod in to talk to yarran and have a few training sessions with him in kind of a coaching/mentoring role.

If Yarran becomes better than McLeod we will have one of best players of the modern era on our hands...hope so! :)

Yaz was sensational again on Monday night. His run and carry off HB is a thing of beauty. He just never seems to panic if he runs into trouble, and just backs his pace and skill to deliver the ball to Carlton's advantage.

Has to be one of the most imporved players in the AFL this year so far.

Don't want to get a head of myself but the way Yaz has been playing, his run, his carry, his creativeness he could win a Brownlow off halfback, or moreover a Norm Smith on that first Saturday in October!!

Well done Yaz on a great game...he is the quarterback that sprinboards the attack from defence...soooo much poise & skill. Not surprising that St.Kilda got back into the game when he was off the field. If he keeps his confidence up there is no doubt that team try & negate him. Jamo is another that has stepped up to another level this year. We need 1 more tall - Bower,Austin, Kruz in defence to pull down the marks & set Yaz off on his runs

Went alright against Collingwood a few weeks ago, in front of a huge crowd at the MCG. Was close to our best player that day.
