Don't want to get a head of myself but the way Yaz has been playing, his run, his carry, his creativeness he could win a Brownlow off halfback, or moreover a Norm Smith on that first Saturday in October!!

Any chance for this year brownlow, I put $10 on him to win, top 3, top 5.

might have had 2 vote games so far.

Either way he has transformed our backline.

Gotta be a chance, one of those players that really stands out with 15-20 touches, like Peter Matera used to. I might throw a tenner on Jobe watson, doesn't have the vote stealers around him, like our winner last year.

Yarran moving off the half back flank just reminds me of Andrew Mcleod, hopefully he can become just as good or if not better than Mcleod was and it will be a massive win for us.

I would like to see Carlton gettin Mcleod in to talk to yarran and have a few training sessions with him in kind of a coaching/mentoring role.

While watching the game he reminded me of Wirrpanda at his best. Floating around picking up the scraps one handed and delivering off half back. Best i've seen him look, very good move to put him down back by the looks of things

Am I a stalker because I only want to watch Yarran with the ball? I have all the games from this year so far, but I only tend to closely watch Yarran moving.

I find myself drawn to him, we have some great talent in the team, but I can't stop watching Yarran, help me please. :o

The only thing Yarran needs to improve on is doing it for 4 quarters. He is a McLeod clone which is great.

I'm just happy because I called the Yarran to the backline years ago :). Just didn't see it working quite as well as it has.

Yes. You sir are indeed a stalker. This is an extremely worrying fixation and can't be taken lightly. I would suggest every time your eye is drawn to Yaz, you immediately play a DVD of Billy Brownless running around in the E.J Whitten legends match. This sort of Yarran antithesis treatment is the only way to ensure your well-being moving forward.

Wirrpanda, McLeod, be happy with either comparison. Two absolute guns.

If he's crap at anything, I've noticed one-out he needs to learn to spoil and punch better. He's not that tall but neither is a bloke like Simmo or Saad and they are pretty good overhead.

Yep, he needs to be better in the sky.

Also wtf went wrong in Round 1 vs Richmond?

Other than that, he's a certainty for a few Brownlows.

He got a hard tag, that's what happened! Plus it was his first match back so he struggled big time. In every other game the opposition have let him run free. It's only a matter of time before they start placing a forward tag on him on a more consistent basis...he's too dangerous otherwise.

He'll need to learn to cop a tag. Give him a centimetre of space and he's extremely damaging.

Like that idea TBH, would only be a good thing.

Didn't we employ Gavin Brown as backline coach?

What would Yarran learn from Mcleod?

Yarran is a good overhead mark like Lappin who played on both flanks.

Nice to recall that Lappin was named AA as a HBF, not as a small forward after he robbed after a fifty goal season in 2001.

Yazz could easily replicate Skinny's feats.

Skinny still kicked 20 odd goals in his AA year.
