As you should be parrot.:thumbsu: He was the one that I said if the Eagles didn't take Naita then Yarran would be my only other choice. But I get accused of being biased towards the Swans boys. :D
I would be over the moon with Steven Hill if we didn't draft Yarran.

Hill is a gun.

Maybe I'm biased because Hill reminds me of Walker with a great kick.

3 goals, 2 assists, affected numerous turnovers through relentless pressure, and applied plenty of tackles - tackles that stuck.

A sublime game from the young man, but it's only going to get more difficult from here on in.

Best of luck, magic man!

great effort by yaz, good to see him showing off what us swan districts supporters knew he had. will only keep improving and looks set for a solid year at the blues. such a clever player when on his game :thumbsu:

The composure he had in that forward pocket where he went to snap it around his body twice, then ended up finding Gibbs with a pass just oozed class. He is just absolute silk out of the football field.

His second goal. Murph had about 2 minutes to decide what to do could've even ran to about 40 and slotted it himself from in front but instead picked the best option in his mind and that was a handball to an open Chris Yarran who calmly just turned around took one step and banged it straight through the big sticks. Another 10 years of yaz, I can deal with that.

Good luck for the rest of the year yaz. I for one am enjoying every second I get to see someone like you play.

Good to know the kid did well last night, was getting sick of the idiots bagging a 18 year old kid last year.

Welcome Alpha,

Great to hear you're back on air

Hope you're recovery is coming along nicely

And the Yaz, he's going to be a superstar

Give him back you bastards !

Wonder if he gets to pick the team of his choice when he wants to come home ?

Good game last night btw, I was expecting a seriously bad first 9 games from your blokes this year but I was wrong.

Thanks TE although things arent going well at all, but it's great to see the kid having a good first up game in 2010, looks like a few of the idiots bagging him have dsappeared now.

I must admit, it was nice to see last night, when the ball hit the ground that instead of giving a spray the forwards actually competed and tried to win it back.

It wasn't as weird watching without F as I thought.:thumbsu:

When the ball was zipped into the forward line and after 15 minutes we had 5 different goal kickers... it made it all good I think...

Yarran's composure at times last night was elite and I reckon that in a couple of years, he will be considered elite and will drag Eddie up there as well :D

Fev who...

In a few years Yarran is going to be playing in the midfield for us, those silky skills would be better used in the middle.

this bloke can kick bags. and is actually even better in close games. i swear. alot to look forward to blue baggers

I am soooooo excited about this guy, and have been since day 1.

Just been talking to a guy from WA who has been involved in the local leagues there for 20+ years. He reckons that Chris Yarran absolutely stood out in the games he played for Swan prior to being drafted, that includes compared to NicNat, Notte et al. He said to me, just you wait and see when he starts weaving his way through players and doing the freaky things regularly that got him into the under 18's as a 15 year old. Also provided some good information on Kane Lucas and Geelong's recruit Duncan (which proved to be pretty spot on based on last nights game). Reckons Kane will be a very very good footballer once he gets up to speed with the game and starts to back his deceiving pace and athleticism.

I feel good.

But the fact Hughes selected them didn't do it for you? ;)

I am over the moon the kid had a good game, was getting pissed off last season at all the shit he was copping from so called Carlton fans.

Duncan looked pretty quick in one play where we put the foot down.

Delivered the ball well too.

Could be a good get for Mumford.

The naysayers about Geelong's dynasty ending might have egg on their face if Brown, Gillies, Motlop, Menzel and Duncan come on.

They always draft well.

Hawkins played well when the game was on the line.

Unlike Neagle, Hawkins looks fitter and mobile than he was last year.
