Ryan Lonie is a squib that goes missing in tough games he should not be in our side players like him tonight fumbling scared to get the footy frashed by his opponent and only getting cheap chippy kicks that put the team under pressure to bump up his stat. He may have a long kick but rarely goes long in the field of play to be damaging off HBF and he rarely kicks a running goal that everyone loves him for. He should of been traded for B.Pickett last season now he would be an asset this is the exact player we are lacking a damaging HB/Wing that can crash packs who also kicks great running goals off the HB line on a regular basis.

He is a front runner, but he has had a terrific season, considering his poor season last year. He has improved, and his job isn't to crash the packs, it is running the lines and using his football brain to get the handball recieves in space. He has never been a contested ball player, and never will be, and never will be a tackling player (despite top 3 at the club), because of the reason above. He has a certain way of playing footy, and has succeeded several times this year. He has kicked 9 goals this year, IIRC, 8 on the run outside 45m (the other was in play when he snapped it through v KANG, and if the roof was open, it would've hit the roof). He hasn't had the best of two weeks, but who has? As I said, he is a front runner, but he has value. Malthouse gave him a job last month on Brad Johnson and held him to 1 goal, and was one of our best.

R.Shaw had an extremely poor game.... kicked it to the opposition a few times when there were collingwood players in the clear.

And he squibed a few contestes where he could have gotten to the ball first but wimped out at the last second.... poor game.
