So Howard we need to go back to the 2004 Grand Final to find another send off offence apart from Hall. Also Lynch was professional enough afterwards to pull he's head in even in a grand final and the game has changed in that regard in the last 8 years it's now more professional.

If the send-off was brought in and never had to be used, that could be considered ideal. It could be argued that it becomes an unecessary rule, or it could be that it removes that "twice a decade" incident.
I don't see the need for a yellow, but a send-off for the worst of the worst may be an option. Its already in the laws of the game, with a special expemption for the AFL only.
