Episode 2:

Biggie (2).jpg

In this episode we focus on the dark underbelly of the SFA and cast the microscope over the some of the criminal element that crept its way into the league. The first 6 season of the SFA were reminiscent of the early days of cricket, a cordial affair with grown men sipping tea, watching other men shower whilst discussing the pros and cons of circumcision. Back then it truly was the gentleman’s game. But the game was raking in huge profits and players were given the rock star treatment wherever they went. Many of the foundation players credit the SFA as the reason they lost their virginity.

With the massive dollars rolling in, the league was making huge profits, a fact which did not go unnoticed amongst the underworld. It was in season 7 when plump young upstart Biggie , AKA Big Man entered the league in round 17 without much fanfare. The Hawks were sitting outside the 8 with a less than impressive 6 – 10 start, including losing the first 4 games of the season and before the ball was bounced The Gumbies led by Metallica Man were unbackable favourites. Even a late betting plunge on the Hawks could not alter the market.

Time to upset some team’s chances in the finals, ladies and gentlemen.

Let’s eat some Gumbies up!

CARN HAWKS.

After posting this the hawks went on a 6 game winning streak and The Big Man brought himself a new set of wheels.

Whilst the top echelon of players in the league were certainly enjoying the vast wealth bestowed upon them by their newly found success, most of the league were too distracted by the hordes of adoring fans or too high on the seemingly never ending supply of green Mitsubishi’s, clouding their judgment whilst simultaneously enhancing their dance moves, to notice the flamboyant lifestyle he was living. Meanwhile HQ was literally drowning under a mountain of white powder.

In season 10 he took on a joint captaincy role with Hawks Inaugural leader and by season 11 he assumed the top position unopposed. The next season he reached the pinnacle as captain, as the Hawks won their first and only flag, but outside of the Hawks the league was undergoing a transition. Crowd numbers were falling, adoring fans were becoming less and less and players were increasingly having to rely on their looks and intellect in order to get laid. It was at this moment in time a small window of opportunity changed not only his life, but still haunts the league to this day.

Biggie’s Bitches Pty Ltd began mid way through season 13 and was a successful pimping racket that ran for almost 3 seasons and raked in millions of dollars for Biggie. However what was to be his biggest financial success would also be his biggest downfall. With an estimated 100% of players using his services during this time and 95% of players providing a service at one time or another, this incestuous cesspool of depravity was a ticking time bomb for the league and authorities were forced to intervene at the end of season 15. Biggie was subsequently incarcerated and forced to sit out seasons 16 – 20.

His return in season 21 was little different to his introduction, understated, with many wishing to forget the awful, awful things they had done. His form since then can be best described by the Big Man himself
