Based on everything else that was going on last night, that free against Wakelin was going against the trend that was set in the game last night. I think it was a VERY soft free with all things considered.

Stiffy, we have been pinged this year for deliberate out of bounds for kicks that have travelled up to 50 metres before going out of bounds.

If you don't pay one that's kicked at right angles to the goal 5 metres from the boundary, straight at the boundary, then you'll never pay one.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Sorry Stiff you are alone with the Wakelin one, he had no other intention than to go for the boundary line and he had many other options. He could have tried to pick the ball up. Could have bent over to paddle the ball away from the boundary line. Lots of different things he could have done and opted for the easiest option instead.

Torney - the ump adjudicated that as he was tackled he had to get a legal disposal out, he did so, but because of how close it was to the line, he had no other option but to dispose of the ball in a legal manner and it trickled over the line as a consequence. His intent was not to handball it over the line in the first instance, but to get a legal disposal out. The end result was that it went over the line.

Plus as Jo said Torney should NEVER had been called play on, he marked the ball running with the flight and took a couple of steps forwards before wheeling back to get behind the mark.

There were 3 decisions that I thought were absolute stinkers and 2 of them were against Collingwood.

- 50m against Leon Davis (I think it was in the 2nd quarter) was a shocker IMHO.
- Holding the ball against Roo when the ball was at his FREAKING feet
- Deliberate out of bounds on the full against Wakelin.

Those are the 3 off the top of my head that I thought were absolute bullshit decisions.

That was no where near the ridiculous one payed against either Steven, Bock or Rutten in the last couple of games where they kicked the pill 50m at an angle and it bounced at least four or five times and he was pinged for deliberate. That was far far worse.

Umpiring was deadset shcoking I blew fuse half way through the third quarter and nearly lost the plot again halfway through the last quarter mrs maccas had me by the short curlys though after the first explosion

i was going crazy during the last quarter during the coll v adel game. Im just glad a few of those dodgy umpire decisions went our way... ie the wakelin deliberate out of bounds resulted in an adelaide goal i think?
