It was worth getting up & leaving the house early to go & watch the Roosters winning their first GF since 1975.

Freddy Fittler was superb after those fools roughed him up mid way through the second half.How the ref let it go God only knows.

Congratulations all round to the Easts club.

There was even a pom on the winning side.

Definately the 2nd best grandfinal I have ever seen (1999 the best of course) and what a night we all had at the Crown Casino..still have a wee hangover

Commisserations to the Warriors, but you had a wonderful year and there is more good years ahead because you are very young team.

yeh, cheers dipper, i dont think i have found a person over here yet that didn't enjoy it. Blood, guts, determination,sweat and tears, they are the ONLY pre-requisites for a good sporting contest!

I heard there is an Adrian Morley Fan Base in Salford so I can imagine they would have partied well into the night.
I rate that up with Balmain/Canberra (1989), Penrith/Canberra (1991), Newcastle/Manly (1997) and Melbourne/St.George (1999)

Oops! Better late than never though.

I went round to see the game at my mate's house in Woodford, a small suburb on the eastern edges of London.

Yeah they showed the game live on the Satellite/Cable TV station Sky which is owned by Rupert Murdoch so we get live NRL games throughout the season & they also show AFL highlights & the GF.


Any reactions?Yes it was a good game & a bloody good win in the end for my boys although it looked a bit dodgy early in the second half.

Yeah Nick I did enjoy it but I think the most enjoyable result was smashing the (arrogant) Broncos a week before.

Physically, Sydney DID smash them but as you say there was only 4 points in it. The bots from Brisbane would still be sore from that game.
