Christine "Moose" McGlade, Lisa Ruddy, Ross, Barth, Alasdair and the gang.

Even in the local Canadian-only Season 1 they danced on the boundaries of what was acceptable - here, courtesy of fansite Barth's Burgery, is a screenshot of the end credits in which, for reasons known only to God, the camera is focused point blank on ten year old cast member Robin Marpack's rear end. She's in short shorts, which only makes it worse:

*sings* "Who wears short-shorts? Robin on YCDTOTV wears short-shorts!"

having a shot of Robin's buttocks right above the "Happy birthday Rodney" caption... can't imagine that went down too well with Robin's parents... or the Moral Guardians.

Can't seperate them.

Do you know they're still making Degrassi?

I binged watched a season. Not as good.as it was.

The original Degrassi was groundbreaking with the issues they covered and they had better characters too, the newer ones are more like Beverly Hills 90210.

Grange Hill was better back in the 80s too, they had newer versions of it but it didn't have that gritty kitchen sink feel of the original.

The original was like a junior version of The Bill from Sun Hill with school toughs, crime and the like.

The newer versions were like dumbed down kids shows where everyone was too nice and it was all sugercoated.
