We have a few English kids who could really kick on. Sheyi Ojo is the obvious one. Joe Gomez is another. Cameron Brannagan is another.

Ben Woodburn is a big talent but unfortunately for England, he's Welsh.

The other one is Trent Alexander Arnold who plays at RB for us at U23 level. He's going to make it, I have no doubt it.
Noted earlier that I'm pissed that Brannagans loan to Wigan fell through due to the 75% playtime rule Klopp has made.

He's now on the bench for the U23s behind Stewart, Chirivella and Ejaria when the squad is fully fit.

Also fancy him as more of a CAM instead of a CM so changing roles due to formation (like Lallana did) hopefully goes smoothly for him.

I don't know that there is a problem short of making out that the only reason people arent joining in the jizzfest is because they are somehow offended or jealous.

If you hype up your players constantly don't be surprised if every now and then people try to inject a bit of balance into things.

As for the future, I'm keen on seeing how Abraham goes at a higher level. He's a real talent. Suspect Kane will be consistently good but not great at international level. Rashford has to improve his all round game to be anything other than an impact player.
nice ninja edit. Balance lol. A bitter potting United players at every opportunity is not balance lol
Rashford is bitching records for his age and his goal record speaks for himself. He is raw but he is a starter for Manchester United. His talent level ensures that he won't be an impact player.

Any of City's youf going to make an impact at some stage or nah?

Isn't Alex-Arnold a midfielder? WTF is he doing at RB?

So saying Rashford isn't the best kid in Europe is potting United players. ****ing hell. Bit over sensitive don't you think.

Not sure what records Rashford has "bitched" but I see him as a promising talent who has had a good start to his career. He's got flaws in his game still, but he's just a kid.

You're talking of him being the saviour of England. After 12 senior goals. Probably best not to talk about balance.

As for City kids, I'm happy. The ones that should be getting tastes are getting tastes. Nothing for you to upset yourself about.

why do you keep editing posts after I've replied to them and then referring to your edits Moomba?

The obsession continues.
Don't know what your talking about.

Edits that arent done straight away come with a message "edited by xxx at xxx" as far as I know.

Someone is sounding a bit obsessed thats for sure.

He can play both. He plays like Clyne (Probs with a tad more flair) so he'll be there while Randall has been moved to LB.

We have enough depth in the midfield with Stewart, Chirivella, Ejaria and Brannagan all fighting for 3 spots.

It's a real dilemna for a 16 year old kid that's showing good signs at senior level.

How do you map out that career?

Imagine the next few years will be at Liverpool, maybe even with the odd taste with the senior team. But then where do you go?

I think it's something English football really struggles with.

What's that all about? Good idea, but not sure many clubs would agree to it.

Klopp is not a fan of players getting loaned out unless they play 75% of the time.

He'd rather train with them at the club and have them play reserves instead of them not playing much at another club.

Eg: Rodgers loaned Ilori to Villa on deadline day last season (and didn't even play a game) and when Klopp came in a few months later he brought him back to play some FA cup games and now he's showing improvement in the U23s.

Brannagan was an unfortunate situation where it just didn't go through. I'm hoping since Wigan are not doing too well in the championship maybe a short loan in Jan could happen?

I dont think he is rooted to the bench in the U23s. He has started two of the past three games. Stewart is up and down from 1st team to U23s. He's just fighting for his place much like Ejaria, Chirivella etc.

Brannagan can also play across the front three and is fighting with Woodburn, Lennon, Gomes and Wilson for spots up top to, obviously wider for Brannagan not as the forward. It's good for even the kids to be fighting for positions. Of course it's made tougher when guys like Ings and Stewart drop down. Lucas has on occasion too as has Sakho now. I'd expect Ojo to get a couple of U23 games in too before bumping up.

Plenty of competition!

I dont think he has settled on a position just yet. He's not a central midfielder though. He's a wide player. Capable at RB and coming forward and playing on the right wing. A super talent.

Are you talking about TAA here moomba or Woodburn?

I wonder if Klopp will play Joe Gomez at LB or CB. He'd squeeze Randall out at LB but if Sakho or Ilori are at CB he wouldn't get a game.

He's definitely better than our 3rd CB Corey Whelan though.

You'd play Gomez before both Ilori and Sakho at CB because unlike those two, Gomez has a future at the club.

Neither really. More a generality. For a very young kid, good enough to play senior football, playing senior football isnt necessarily the best thing for him.

I guess it's the old if you're good enough, you're old enough trick.

No idea really. I'm sure clubs all around the world pour hours and hours into the development and time table of young kids and how and when they come through. Tough job.

not when done within a certain timeframe as you well know

I don't understand how you can misinterpret obvious tongue in cheek comments....and then comment with offended. Must have been the snub he gave City as a kid.

you said earlier that a player who has more goals after 25 career games than Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Messi & Kun had, 'needs to improve his game to be anything more than an impact player'......which is a load of shite.

reckon RB is a waste of his attacking talents. Clyne will hold down that RB spot for a fair while too.

Seems only one person getting offended here. Time will tell, and while I think he's had a good start to his career I also think he's a long way from being the superstar some make him out to be.

I don't really know which edit you're bitching about. But it was probably just fixing a spelling error. Or I thought of something to add to my post.

Nothing for you to wet your pants about.

Perhaps. He is still so young. I'd love for him to make his debut this season but with our light schedule I think it will be hard for any of the kids to make that step up. Klopp has kept very strong teams even for League Cup fixtures.

But yeah Clyne owns that RB spot for the foreseeable future.
