Having said that, Rashford shouldnt have placed either. Only one winner though, Sanches was deserving.
I can't judge because I haven't seen much of Sanches.

But I've read a lot of neutrals write that they think Alli should have won it over him, not sure about Coman, but over Sanches because he performed to a higher standard in a tougher league over the last year and that Sanches is a good young player, but his reputation is inflated after a good Euros. The general belief in any case is that Alli would have struggled to win because he had a terrible tournament in France, but his league exploits are better than most on the list and in a tougher league.

Not sure if any of that is true, but I have seen it.

Marcus Edwards out for 6-8 weeks with an ankle injury. :(

Was looking forward to seeing him play against Liverpool where he likely would have got about half an hour.

Ssnches was v inconsistent for Benfica last season. Was all about the euros.

Our kids are doing well still. U18's top of the league with 1 or 2 games in hand against the teams directly below. Few of the U16's are making the jump up, playing the U16 game and then sitting on the bench for the U18's. One of them is Slippy Gerrard's cousin @jod32

U23's second in the league, point behind Everton. Pretty young side too, think we had 3 or 4 seventeen year olds on the pitch at the end of our win at Southampton last night. Big test against Liverpool Friday night though.

Playing really well on the big stage though like Sanches did holds a lot of weight. Same for the other way as Alli was terrible for England.

I don't necessarily disagree, mate. After all, that's why we bought Sissoko!

Alli had 10 goals and 11 assists in what is widely regarded as the most competitive league in the world as a 19 year old. Whereas Sanches was apparently inconsistent in a poor league.

Despite their respective Euros performances league form surely would have to be taken into consideration as well.

Again, I'm not saying that he should have won it over Sanches or even that Alli is better than him. I just haven't seen enough of Sanches to make that comparison.

There are things that I have seen neutral supporters write though.

Bloody Woy. Playing him out of position to fit Roonpig in the team.

We beat Spurs 2-0 yesterday, with help from Demarai Gray.

Our first win this season apparently.

U23's or U18's?

Some of the PL2 regulars were pulled to play at Anfield. So no doubt a little weaker than usual.

kangaspurs with Vertonghen on the bench last night why did they pick Walkes over Walker-Peters? Seems a strange move.

I actually don't know. I presume U23's but I could be wrong.

All the evidence suggests that Pochettino either rates Walkes higher, which would be a contrary opinion to all of the regular youth watches who either don't rate Walkes at all or love KWP, or it's simply that he works harder in training than KWP so Pochettino feels he is more deserving of a place in the squad.

The use of KWP has been strange this season. All of the talented players of a similar age who could be playing PL2 (Winks, CCV, Onomah etc) have been training with, and are apparently fully fledged members of, the first team squad yet KWP, who many believe is more talented than all of them, is playing PL2 and apparently not in Pochettinos plans. Usually Poch prefers the more talented players to stay at the club rather than go on loan so that they don't pick up bad habits, yet he was apparently happy for KWP to go on loan to Roda last season.

As I said it's strange because there are so many people that rate him so highly. Seemingly everyone, but the person that matters; the manager.

Yeah, it was the PL2.

A division/age group in which we are terrible at the moment, a problem made worse by the presence of a number of our better players at that level in the senior cup squad.

Gray would genuinely extract the urine at that level.

TAA made his full debut last night and was very good too.
He looked really good both going forward and defensively. Gave N'Koudou an absolute bath for the most part.

In saying that, he could have easily been sent off for a challenge on Davies. In fact, in his presser after the game, Pochettino said that he believed he should have been.

Liverpool vs Man City U23s on LFCTV 4:30am Melb time.

Any notable first teamers that feature regularly for City?

Not 100% sure if Arnold, Ings, Stewart, Grujic and Ejaria will play because they just had a league cup game a few days ago.
