hope the higher ups at city see this. sometimes a bit of trust goes a long way. instead of trusting a bunch of 30+ year olds to not get outrun by a teenager or two.

3-1 win over pool in the fa youth cup. from the sounds of it it was pretty easy. pool learning for the 7-0 battering a couple of months ago and sitting deeper. still picked apart by brahim and sancho

Interesting that we were only obliged to pay £30k or so under EPPP rules but agreed to pay more.

Done that a few times now, probs trying to keep on good terms with the academies we deal with.

Young Harrison out on loan to Yeovil

kangaspurs Doctor Gero go you pups
Yeah that's an interesting one as Pochettino actually seems to rate him and prior to this window he didn't like to send the talented youth players out on loan. He came off the bench against Liverpool in the EFL Cup. This might be the first example of him reportedly softening his stance on loans for the youth players.

Anyway, hopefully he goes well. He scores for fun at PL2 level so hopefully he can replicate that in League 2.

Think these younger ones who are some way off being in the first team squad would be OK to loan out. Just need to find a club with good coaches so they don't waste away there

Pep reopens the debate on PL2. Certainly why Harrison has just been loaned and we should have another couple do so by the end of the window.

He said: "I'm not here to change absolutely anything but I think the second league for the young players is not good enough.
"The consistency is not physically strong. They compete in these second teams but it is not a good league.
"In Spain the second teams in Barcelona and Madrid play in front of 40 or 45,000 people in Barcelona, Madrid. Here they play with no spectators.
"It's not strong enough. That's why it's so difficult for the English people sometimes at big clubs like City. That for me is the real problem.
"I love to work with the young people because of their passion; their intensity is higher, they want to build their own career. It's much easier but I have to see when they are able to do that.
"I think it's a real problem for English football, if you accept my opinion. I think the quality of the young players is there and if you have the quality, you can play wherever but [you need] to feel the pressure.
"Why cannot we create Man City or Man Utd second team and not play in the Championship against Newcastle? Playing in front of these huge [crowds]. That is the future of English football.''
