Ah ok. Sweet. He's obviously just as good right? :D
Prolific goalscorer at under age level. One of the best in his age group. Walked out on us at the start of the season, I think he's only played England games since.

Walked out on you because he wants to play for Liverpool?
Presume so. He'll walk into your U18's where his cousin is coach. He's a Scouser and presumably a Liverpool supporter.

But I don't think you can sign him this season, so it's a decent stretch to spend out of the game.

Seems so. I mean if your cousin is Steven Gerrard, I cant see you being anything other than a massive Liverpool fan.

So is he any good? He's a striker?

Not seen him play, but he's supposed to be one of the best in his age group. Seemed to score every week for U15/16's and for England you'd too.

But it's hard to tell with kids that age.

Yeah plenty of kids score bucket loads in the juniors then it all dries up once they get to the big time.

Lincoln knocked out Chelsea youf in pens in the checkatrade trophy.
Probably a good thing for the comp.

Claws were being sharpened at the prospect of Chelsea making it to the final.

Still reckon it's a great learning experience for the kids.

Checkatrade trophy reminds me of the other SANFL clubs cracking the shits that Port and Crows are in the SANFL.

Does that much complaining happen from non-AFL clubs at AFL clubs having reserves in the WAFL or VFL?

I wonder how the other Spanish sides felt when Real Madrid played their reserves in the Copa del Rey Final in 1980. typeclub

You should read up on Hertha Berlin's U19s making the DFB Pokal final in 92. German football people still don't believe it.

Apparently the first team were in the 2nd div when that happeend? That's crazy stuff.

The history of Hertha Berlin in general is crazy stuff. Their U19s going on that run is a defining example of it.

I remember reading an article that covered it last year and it said Germany was in complete shock while the whole country cheered them on. It was their Leicester story until Kaiserslautern won the title after being promoted in 98.

Its only recently that the Eagles and Dockers have had "reserve"clubs in the WAFL.

Before 2014 - Eagles and Dockers players were spread out to the WAFL clubs based on some affiliation rules with Docker players playing for certain clubs and Eagles playing for others. For a short period there was a host arrangement

After 2014 the WAFL agreed for the Eagles to have East Perth as their host club and Fremantle to have Peel for 5 years.

It's generally been hated by most WAFL fans as its imbalanced the league a fair bit. If you look at Peel before they became Fremantle's affiliate;

2010 - 3 Wins 17 losses 2nd last
2011 - 5/15 last
2012 - 5/15 last
2013 - 3/17 last
2014 - 4/16 - 2nd last (Fremantle affiliate at the end of the season)
2015 - 13/7 - 4th in the league - Semi finals (first time in Peel history they have a winning season)
2016 - 11/9 - 4th - PREMIERS (influx of Fremantle players for the finals)
2017 - 13/8 - 3rd - PREMIERS (influx of Fremantle players for the finals)

Crazy too that they only lost 1-0 to a Bayer Leverkusen team that had future internationals Christian Worns, Ulf Kirsten, Andreas Thom (Germany) Ioan Lupescu (Romanian) and Pavel Hapal (Cezch).

Hertha Berlin's U19s only had future international Carsten Ramelow (Germany) in their team.
