Ethan Ampadu (17) and Dujon Sterling (17) made their debut for Chelsea today in a 5-1 win. Sterling was no nonense with the ball, while Ampadu is a born leader even directing Hazard and Bakayoko where to go. Made some nice passes too and looked like a veteran on the pitch.

Jake Clarke-Salter (19) too got a runout and looked good with the ball at feet, not much defending to do. Charley Musonda (21) bossed and dictated the game on his terms with Hazard, scoring a great goal as well. Kennedy (21) also got in on the action. Christensen (21) was calm and composed as usual

A very good day for Chelsea Youf, Mr Mourinho.

It was nice to see a lot of kids getting a run.

But TBH Mou or Conte or Ance it really doesnt make a difference. They aren't here to develop kids, they're here to win stuff before they are sacked and thats what will always come first. Only the top top ones like Courtois and Christensen are going to get chances, so its going to be hard for a lot of these lads.

But i guess the academy is about developing professional footballers, not just Chelsea footballers

Not so good for the English teams in the youf league so far.

Liverpool lose 2-1 to Spartak, Spurs lost 0-1 to APOEL.

We've just gone a goal up at home to Shaktar. Nearly half time there. United and Chelsea on tomorrow.

some of the english youth teams really struggle when confronted with teams playing different styles of play to what they are used to.

The refs are usually pretty atrocious. Some of the lesser talented teams just run around kicking english teams off the pitch and the refs don't seem to carry red cards around with them.

Great experience for them though, cause they're going to cop the same when they get to senior football.

2-0 up for us now.

did you see that free kick against Brahim just then? hahaha
No missed it. Helping daughter with her homework, have it on in the background with sound down.

Saw their goal though.

he ran into the six yard box, defender was holding him back. Diaz showed strength to hold him off and just as he was about to finish, the ref pulled a free kick out of his rectum. Should have been a pen or play on

Lol youf football. Imagine trying to bet on this shit.

That Dele-Bashiru looks a good player for you.
Good talent but I expect difficulties with his father/agent as long as he stays.

Has missed a fair bit of football already "in dispute" with the club.

They conveniently ignored Christensen who's been fantastic, but he's got a point. Why waste all this money on an academy if you arent going to use most of the players it develops.

RLC should replace Fab, Zouma should replace Cahill and Tammy should replace Batman next season. But I'm not holding my breath, the next manager after Conte goes back to Italy if a year or 2 needs to want to help develop these kids or shut it down and just use that extra cash on already developed stars.
