Ethan Ampadu (17) and Dujon Sterling (17) made their debut for Chelsea today in a 5-1 win. Sterling was no nonense with the ball, while Ampadu is a born leader even directing Hazard and Bakayoko where to go. Made some nice passes too and looked like a veteran on the pitch.
Jake Clarke-Salter (19) too got a runout and looked good with the ball at feet, not much defending to do. Charley Musonda (21) bossed and dictated the game on his terms with Hazard, scoring a great goal as well. Kennedy (21) also got in on the action. Christensen (21) was calm and composed as usual
A very good day for Chelsea Youf, Mr Mourinho.
It was nice to see a lot of kids getting a run.
But TBH Mou or Conte or Ance it really doesnt make a difference. They aren't here to develop kids, they're here to win stuff before they are sacked and thats what will always come first. Only the top top ones like Courtois and Christensen are going to get chances, so its going to be hard for a lot of these lads.
But i guess the academy is about developing professional footballers, not just Chelsea footballers
