Good start by Leeds in their first foray into the PL2 Div 1.

Watching the Leeds vs Spurs game a week or so ago was like a football manager game. Was an absolute battering, but somehow lost 2-4.

Bate has started well.

Summerville is Sterling 2.0. Will emerge in the PL in the next few months.

Just a list of guys who will be strung along on endless loans before ending up at some midtable team in a decent league.
Not the case anymore.

Also there's a lot of assumption that they're doing well because of them being good without acknowledgement that actually Chelsea probably plays a big role in making them good.

yet their business model is precisely how football used to be run and how it should be. A club that is self sufficient.

When was football run like that? This "right way to operate a football club" is a very modern phenomenon.

Yeah, when get past all the hate we are actually running a pretty fantastic academy.

And now these guys have a clear pathway into the first team if they work hard enough, want it enough and are good enough.

Some will leave early though as there are easier first teams to get into.

No sh*t, every club in the whole ******* world poaches talented kids off other clubs.

The GV Suns do it to the Kyabram Knights.

Everton do it too.
I know, I'm just trolling you

Getting back to what this thread is for rather than the usual melting about the usual clubs, hopefully Bate gets a cup start. Keen to see how he goes against men.

Nice to see Broja hit the ground running with a brace in his debut.

Great debut from Charlie Cresswell. What an absolute physical beast he is for a kid who has just turned 19.

Long term England CB prospect imo. Not surprised why he was included in the England u21 side before playing any senior football and at 18.

I have to wonder when we'll upgrade some of these great U18s players we've got to our (currently) poor U23s side, our front 3 are injured and we are playing full backs on the wings there and our bench forwards just press and run a bunch and don't score much.
