Yep, similar train of thought for the Bushrangers draftees. At one stage they were only training together once a month due to distance between them (few years back now).

Some of those zones are ridiculously big. I know some of the Geelong Falcons boys are traveling hours for training as well.

I know the award means next to nothing and its just opinions etc etc. But how on earth has some reporters not got Witherden anywhere in there top 5

I think the voting system for awarding the rising star is very poor. Many better ways to do it.

Mainly biased based on the media attention the players get. Doesn't help that the committee is made up of the most incompetent and one-sided ex football players.
