This would be an unreal side if you added may. Already looks scary as is.

Potentially 15 West Aussies if you count Brayshaw with his grandparents over here

McCarthy only in to see if he can recreate his 2013/14 potential as a genuine 3rd tall

Need to effect a permanent transition from Sandi to Darcy through the season and no reason for Ross to entertain the idea of playing both in the same team

Bennell is best 22 but not holding my breath we'll see him on the pitch

Taberner unlucky but will get games

Banfield also unlucky after exceptional rookie year but just can't find room for him

Matera, Ballantyne, Kersten, Tucker only if we're desperate

No idea how Colyer features - but certainly not ahead of the ten midfielders listed for now

HF: Hoskin-Elliott ~ Mihocek ~ Varcoe
FF: Elliott ~ De Goey ~ Cox

EMERGENCY: Mayne, Dunn, Wells

UNLUCKY: Aish, Greenwood, Goldsack, Roughead

Murphy, Quaynor, Kelly, Daicos, McLarty, C.Brown & T.Brown to hopefully get some games blooded into them also.

Very happy with our current list, hopefully we can stay healthy next season.

Fringe: Baguley, Laverde, Stewart, Guelfi, Redman

Only big question mark for me is Gleeson, coming back from an LTI.
Redman was very good from two matches in 2018 before getting injured himself, hopefully both are healthy and can fight for that spot.

Most places would be settled based on how the club finished 2018 and then just coming down to pre season form and injuries for the bench spots

Shaw Davis Haynes
Williams Corr/Taylor Kennedy
Whitfield Ward Kelly
Greene Cameron Taranto
Langdon Himmelberg MDB
Simpson/Mumford Congilio Hopper
Tomlinson Deledio Perryman Bonar

Italics would be the unsure selections based on pre season and I would expect Tomlinson to spend a lot of time on the wing and then Taranto to play pretty much as a full time mid

You could slide any of those emerencies into the side or someone like Brown or Ambrose or (if they get retained) Baguley/Hartley/Dea.

Simpson Weitering Plowman
Docherty Marchbank Williamson
SPS Cripps O'Brien
Murphy Curnow Pickett
McGovern McKay Fasolo

Kruezer Keneddy Dow

Fisher Setterfield Curnow Walsh

Loads of young talent that just need time and games.
Andrew Russell may well prove to be the recruit of the year for the Blues ...

No Mihocek?

Surely you drop Sier and Aish now that you have Beams and Wells back.

Looks way too tall. Gotta drop one of Cox/Logue surely

B: Hibberd May Jetta
HB: Frost Lever Hunt/KK
C: Stretch Brayshaw Jones
HF: Neal-Bullen McDonald Melksham
F: Spargo Weideman Hannan/Preuss
R: Gawn Viney Oliver
Int: Harmes Petracca Salem Vandeberg

Stretch gets picked because he finally showed some form this season plus he’s such a hard worker. Will surely be given first crack at the wing spot.

Need Neal-Bullen at HF for his gut run and defensive work, he stays there until Spargo shows the same level of fitness. Probably has the least hold on his spot though as he had a stagnant 2018.

Reckon Jonesy will have a solid 2019 on the wing after slimming down a little bit. By the end of the season he could well be outside the best 22.

One of Hunt/KK probably more wishful than anything. But I’m never upset to see Hunt named. That spot is a pre season battle.

Not much F50 pressure or ground level threat will again be our weakness so praying that Jeffy gets back to his best or we draft some decent smalls.

Our sexy best 22 looks like

B: Jeremy Howe - Lynden Dunn - Brayden Maynard
HB: Jack Crisp - Tom Langdon - Darcy Moore
C: Dayne Beams - Scott Pendlebury - Steele Sidebottom
HF: Will Hoskin-Elliott - Mason Cox - Jamie Elliott
F: Josh Thomas - Jordan De Goey - Brody Mihocek
R: Brodie Grundy - Taylor Adams - Adam Treloar
I: Tom Phillips - Brayden Sier - Jaidyn Stephenson - Travis Varcoe

Yeah Mihocek stiff, but prefer Elliott who is still strong in the air...and Goldsack for overall versatility. But no problems if people prefer Checker to the Sack.

WHE, DeGoey and Elliott are all marking targets.

Sier is a star, his problem was running out of legs late in games.

I like what Aish was offering before he hurt his knee.

For mine it is the other senior guys in Greenwood, Varcoe and Mayne who are first out. The challenge is getting the mix right as they are three more defensive players, so can see Pendles becoming more defensive and potentially Stephenson...this allows Beams and Wells to do there thing!!

Stiff - Varcoe. Just not sure where he fits in, wont push out any of the forwards and wont pus out any mids... Aish aswell. Probably in Shaz's spot till he is ready.

Grundy, Beams, Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Adams, Trealor, Phillips, Sier, Stephenson and Varcoe is a ridiculously good midfield. The other forward and back lines are fairly average in comparison to the rest of the comp, but probably the deepest first-rate midfield in the comp.

I’d expect 5th-8th. Finished the year 6-3 post bye. Talent wise behind WC, Richmond, Melbourne and Collingwood.

How are you looking after the trade period?

Best guess for us:
