Man I hope we come good again one day so I can pull this sort of s**t.

It looks nice in that format doesnt it?

Might be the tigers strongest line up too. Out: Baker, Short, Ellis. In: Rance, Graham, Stack.

Honestly you could make a case that a couple of these guys could replace the best 22. It is good to finally have some depth

Saints can beat that team. Be closer than the blues game though .

Interested to see them after the trade period.

Here is my take on West Coast.

FB: Sheppard Barrass Duggan
HB: Hurn McGovern Jetta
C: Sheed Kelly Gaff
HF: Ryan Darling Cripps
FF: Petrucelle Kennedy Cameron

R: Naitanui Yeo Shuey

I: Cole Redden Venables O. Allen

E: Schofield Hutchings Hickey Waterman

And second 22s if you can be bothered.

FB: Rotham Schofield Edwards
HB: Nelson Brander Watson
C: Foley Hutchings Smith/RD
HF: O'Neill Waterman ND
FF: Williams Vardy ND

R: Hickey Ah Chee Ainsworth

I: M. Allen/RD Brayshaw/RD Brooksby/RD [Rioli]

RD = Rookie Draft pick, ND = National Draft pick
WOW.

Some kind of best 22=> where is the depth though?

Really not a lot of experience in that second team. Rereading it Nelson and Rotham are decent medium defenders, Schofield’s still good(surprised he’s not best 22), Waterman and Hickey can play.

But it looks like you really don’t bat 30 deep. That’s surprising to me. Any WAFL players you’re going to look at drafting late rounds?

Either this is the most talented the comp has been or I overrate players but how the fk is this the best 22 of a team that just finished last and is being predicted to finish last again?

Even got some solid depth seemingly.

Have a feeling my Dees are about to get a rude shock. Some team will. Of course injuries will hit the Suns but you’d think their percentage would be heaps better this season.

One big bodied clearance specialist away(a Jack Redden/Ellis-Yolmen type) away from a seriously good best 22 IMO.

Dylan Clarke not there surprises me a bit

Pretty save team based on past deeds and expecting Aish and Acres to be traded to play. Probably a few new faces will get spots through injury and/or form. McCarthy a big call but I still have believe. Still him and Logue could make way for smaller players (Fwd: Crowden ,Switkowski, Colyer or Schulz, B: Hughes, Duman, Carter), team looks too tall. And need to get games into Dixon probably. Not sure where Cox is at. Probably no.1 tall emergency on both end. Same for Bewley, Banfield.

I might be in the minority, but i think our 2019 Captain doesn't make the Best 22 for 2020 at this stage:

B: Shaun Burgoyne, James Frawley, Blake Hardwick
HB: Jarman Impey, Sam Frost, James Sicily
C: Ricky Henderson, Tom Mitchell, Isaac Smith
HF: Chad Wingard, Mitchell Lewis, Jack Gunston
F: Luke Breust, Jonathan Patton, Conor Nash
R: Ben McEvoy, Jaeger O’Meara, James Worpel

INT: Tom Scully, Jack Scrimshaw, Liam Shiels, Tim O'Brien

Others/Depth: Ceglar, Stratton, CJ, Morrison, Cousins, Howe, Hanrahan, Puopolo

Still looking a bit weak in the depth area, but pretty happy with the starting 22.

I have the following players as ok outside our best 22:

Watson
Rotham
Schofield
Nelson

Hutchings
Ah Chee
Ainsworth

Hickey
Vardy
Waterman
Brander

Then the following as youth:

Edwards
O’Neill
Foley
Williams

And the rest haven’t been guaranteed a spot on the list for next year.

Injuries just continue to smash us. IF we can consistently get this 22 on the park, we should be much more competitive

This is before we pick up any Delisted Free Agents and assuming we use 1 on Rowell, if they can stay fit there is some decent talent there.

No Anderson and Miller?

Also can you explain why so many people don't rate Miller? I would have him down as the next captain of the Suns.

I wouldn't throw Anderson in Rd 1, obviously he might rip it up in Pre-Season and come straight in.

Miller you could probably replace Miles with if you wanted, wouldn't be much gained or lost there. Miller is very one paced and doesn't have many tricks in his bag and only average skills.

He has buckloads of leadership which I love about him and can play a tagging role when required, but he needs to try and get on he score board as well.
