Not mine, but my mate has met or stalked a few interesting people. Few people he's been with / hung out with:

Dio
Ozzy, Sharon and Kelly.
Has had beers with Bam Magera
Hung out with Alice Cooper
Met Lady GaGa at the airport
Hung out with the members of Metallica
Has hung out with Mike Patton.
:(

Had drinks at former Australian Test Opening Batsman (in the late 70's, older GDers may remember him) Rick Darling's house last night. Even shook his hand. I go to uni with his daughter (solid 8/10) and she had pre-drinks there. Was almost the highlight of the night.

(of Big Brother fame)

That's an oxymoron.

Fun fact. I tried to copy 'of Big Brother fame' to paste it, and just as I did the Internet tripped out and stopped working for like 5 minutes. It was probably too busy laughing.

At a running meet at the Sydney Athletics Centre many years ago (maybe 1999) i got the number Cathy Freeman wore when she won her 400m race signed by her.

Served Peter Sterling at my old work after he'd covered a Dragons game that evening.

Served various Dragons players at that work as well

Saw Gordy Frenzal before Bad Religion in Sydney about 3 years ago

Got Tim Armstrong, currently playing in the NSW second XI/played in Australian Under 19's out once in junior reps

Been trying my hardest to resist the headwobble but it's got the better of me.

- Would consider myself "good mates" with 5 AFL listed players.

- On first name basis/speaking terms with at least a dozen more.

- Played in an under 16's grand final winning basketball team with Xavier Ellis, funny part is the team we beat had Scott Pendlebury in the side. (neither of these two are part of point 1 by the way).

- Am on first name basis/speaking terms with Hutchy (make of that what you will)

- Have interviewed a range of 'sporting celebrities' over the last few years through work such as Bomber Thompson, Stirling Mortlock, Daniel Bradshaw to new Kangaroo Shaun Atley.

- Tagged Brent Macaffer completely out of a game of inter-school football just under 5 years ago, he was statless at half time and I had a goal and a few possies:thumbsu: (the fact he was barely trying and I nearly passed out due to exhaustion isn't relevant either;)) by the way, I wouldn't say I was a terribly good footballer either, so joke is on him.

- Have been verbally abused by Jason Akermanis:thumbsu:

- plenty more that I can't think of right now...

/end of post, head explodes due to ego.

I use to work with Mark Webber at Domino's Pizza in Queanbeyan, he was a delivery driver on his 'P's.

Did you beat him alot? Did he have alot of "incidents"?

This doesn't count but I stood behind Cyril Rioli and Shaun Burgoyne in the line at Sushi Sushi Waverley Gardens today. Good times.

One does that come to mind is that I went to school with Camilla from Big Brother (the one that got turkey slapped and I believe is now on Brisbane radio). Ironically at schoolies she was kicked out of the house about three days in and told to go home.

Not that it really matters or means much but was at the races on Sat and i was at the TAB stand making a bet for race 8 when Mark Harvey walks up and asked me for some advice on which horse to back.

He probably changed company twice because of poor vehicle quality.

I'm related to Quentin Tarantino, does that count? He's the grandson of my either my grandmother's uncle or aunty, I'm really not sure, but it's one or the other. Heard from my grandfather he's my grandmother's aunties grandson, and I've heard that from my mum, too, but my mum isn't 100% sure and apparently my aunty says he's my grandmother's uncles grandson; I'm not sure what my grandmother used to say about it, she passed away about three and a half years ago.

Anyway, I had my doubts until I met my second cousin Nando, who looks a lot like Quentin, since I would imagine there are quite a fair few people with the surname Tarantino.

But I should never have doubted it; Tarantino shares the same dark, twisted sense of humour that me and quite a few of my family are into, the same great taste in music and top notch gangster films with actors that just ooze charisma.

So yeah, I thought that was pretty cool when I found out.

As for meeting any celebrities - no I haven't, I haven't even seen one up close.

I was sitting on a bench on La Trobe Street in Melbourne and had my pushbike leaning up against a pole. A delivery truck pulled up and the driver got out and opened his rear door. In doing that, he knocked my bike to the ground. I got up off the bench and picked it up as the concerned driver said, "Oh, no! A million-dollar bike!". I looked up to see the driver's concerned face and it was none other than "Jihad Jack".

I told him there was no harm done.

You win, that is seriously the greatest story I have ever heard.

Only way that could be more impressive is if you banged Livinia nixon on the MCC members bar afterwards without wearing a collar.

It was 14 years ago, before Livinia's time. Denise Drysdale would have been the one to go after

I was robbed too, whoever hit it the farthest won a signed bat by the Australian team. I went first and just poked it away, the next three didn't hit it so he bowled a two bouncer for the last person to smash away :(

I have played basketball against Simon Madden and Michael Long. Madden was a great bloke, couldn't shoot at all but constantly rebounded it until he finally scored. Long was a great dribbler and loved the fancy passes but was largely ineffectual

so basically the same as his AFL career then?

- My old man is best friends with Brendon & Nathan McCullums dad, known them since I can remember.

- Was on holiday in Thailand and had breakfast in the hotel restuarant with Linkin Park.

- Randomly ran into and said hi to Brandon Flowers from The Killers on Russell St one night after one of their concerts. Think they were staying at the Hyatt.

- Had a solid 10-15 minute chat with Greg Murphy one year at the Melbourne motor show.

About all I can think of at the moment.

Also had a heated exchange with Lehmo* that resulted in me ejecting him from the pub I used to work at for groping underage girls while stealing food from other customers and trying to trip me over. I think my last words were "The best joke anyone in your family ever produced crawled out of your mothers c***"#
Greatest moment of my life.

catriona rowntree once sat on my lap at a convention in front of 500 other (rather jealous) males, and i got to see down the front of her shirt

Without a word of a lie I have banged Livinia Nixon on a few occassions we both grew up in the same part of Melbourne.

You guys = Legends :thumbsu:

Same year level as Scott Pendlebury at High School, speak with him rarely.

I know Bourky23 on a first name basis.

Saw Kevin Sheedy in the Hilton Bar (Melb) earlier this year, managed to snare a photo with him.

Saw Ian Thorpe at Sydney airport when I was younger, too shit-scared to ask for a photo/autograph.

Also managed a photo with the Brendan Gale at a traineeship dinner a few years back (big for me).

If you're a tennis fan, Kooyong is the best place to get player autographs. Have gotten sigs off Roddick, Blake, Gonzalez and others.
