Amazinng how far Oliver has fallen in the eyes of Melbourne supporters now. remember only couple of years ago alot of Dees supporter saying he will down as the greatest demons midfielder of all time.
Well he was incredible, however he has totally fallen away. I hope he resurrects his career. He’ll need to move I think. Depends who the new coach is.

Anybody picking a player who has played only 100 games is not across the brief.
I think the Daicos stuff is a bit over the top but John Coleman only played 98 and would be in Essendon's best 5 ever. Probably a bit harder for a mid to get into the top 5 like that but it wouldn't take much more

Still needs 2 Brownlow’s and to be the undisputed best player in the comp for at least 2-3 years. Peak Fyfe was an unstoppable beast on the ground or in the air.

But it’s not just about accolades or peak, it’s about total output and it’s why most have Pav above Fyfe as the best Docker of all time. He did it for much longer even if his best was not as good as Fyfe’s.

But but but…. NICK DAICOS!

Given that Farmer retired after 1967, I dare way that most didn't see him play, and most footage from that era is lost.
Fair call.

From all reports on him he totally revolutionised the ruck position. My grandfather watched a lot of him at KP and often said his ruck craft was simply remarkable. The way he positioned himself, used the handball, and covered the ground.

Pav is the greatest in my eyes as well. Serong is undoubtably going to be in the 5 by career end though. As good as start to his career as anyone bar Daicos atm. I see what you're saying but I would just put him in there ahead of a Mundy or Haselby for that reason.
