I think we did relatively well.

Gabriel - Much needed signing at centre half, already looks pretty stable and assured and adding a lot of certainty to a shaky defence.

Runnarsson - Bit of an unknown entity, but if his stats in Ligue 1 are anything to go by, he may not be playing too much. He was signed obviously to replace the outgoing Martinez, but hopefully if and when he is called upon he can step up.

Partey - Huge, huge signing. Aouar would have been great but Thomas was the necessity. He will bring a shield and power to the midfield and hopefully allow us to play some more creative players too.

Saka, Martinelli, and Aubameyang - Having them extend is massive to the club. The club's best player, along with two of its brightest prospects holds the club's future in good stead.

It'd have been nice if we could ship out a lot of the deadwood - Sokratis, Kola, Mustafi, Ozil. Guendouzi out on loan is a plus, and Torreira too given he was not part of Arteta's plans.

Not the best window of an EPL club by any stretch (Hi Everton), but definitely not the worst and the signing of Partey definitely boosted my rating.

Overall Rating: B+

Thiago - Great signing, sucks he's got COVID.
Kostas - Good backup LB, sucks he had COVID and is now injured also.
Jota - Good depth for the front line.

We needed a last minute GK loaned in after Alisson got injured, and a CB to replace Lovren and help cover an injured Matip.

We couldn't sell Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic. Also couldn't sell Shaqiri, probably because he's got COVID.

Rating: B-

Jury still out on a lot of ours.

In - Dias, Ake, Torres
Out - Sane, Otamendi, Silva :(

Jury out on our ins, early days but I think Dias and Ake will significantly improve our defence. Torres has shown a lot, but might need a year.

Would have liked to have offloaded Garcia, but the salty tears from Barca cause we didn't sell him have been entertaining.

Would have liked a left back, and think there were some decent options available for some decent prices.

Overall, a decent window C+

B- for Arsenal.

Would've given an A had we been able to shift out deadwood, and bring in another quality centre-half & an Aouar.

Chelsea an A, without a doubt though all that talent is wasted on Frank Lampard.

Liverpool a B+. Retained the best XI in world football, and poached Bayern's centre-mid for a crate of beer & packet of chips. Other astute additions, too. Could do with a better back-up GK but oh well.

Spurs can be very pleased with their acquisitions - should be very competitive this season. B+

City have brought in some excellent reinforcements, especially Dias. Hopefully for Pep, his defence tightens up with him & Laporte in tandem. B-.

Everton, A.

Don't know what's happening at United tbh. s**t's pretty ****ed there, init

Very impressive A from spurs all for 50m investment so Levy and the shareholders will be happy too.

Hojberg - he is a more physical Winks and has a better range of passing. Brilliant against United. But can't play next to Winks. Nightmare against Everton

Hart - 3rd choice keeper improvement on Vorm and is HG

Doherty - jury is out on how he goes in a back 4 but he puts pressure on Aurier and can be seen as the safer option if/when Aurier loses his head during the season

We went into the season with just that and we looked well and truly ****ed. Needed a CB, ST and LB. Two out of 3 aint bad, especially when the bonus signing is a club hero.

Reguilon - felt like a bit of the steak knives in the Bale deal but this boy can play. Massively at fault for chesleas goal in his debut, but made up for it and ended up with the assist. Very excited to see him develop.

Bale - injury or not he was always likely to be slowly bedded into our front 3. Hopefully he gets unleashed in the near future. Kane feeding runs of Son and Bale could be very fun!

Viniscius - try before you buy deal thanks to Agent Jorge. At worst he is another Janssen and we spent 3m on his loan. At best he tears up the Europa group stage and a handful of domestic starts to help Kane get through a full season

Thought you meant Vinicius Jr there for a second, goodness me.

A+ for us.

Havertz, Werner, Ziyech, Chilwell, Mendy and Silva was an amazing summer.

Only downside was not being able to move on deadwood from the squad.
Give you a B+ for not fixing central defence.

I'd give us an A- - would have liked to have seen another striker come in.

Tough window for us. Coming off the season we just had, how do you improve that squad? In the end I thought we did brilliantly.

We were desperate need of a back up LB to ease the burden on Robbo and give us a viable option in the cups. Tsimikas looks the goods, has excellent delivery and looking forward to seeing more of him.

Jota IMO is an excellent signings. Does all the things required of a Klopp type forward. He presses like a madman, technically gifted and can score and create goals. Looks a bargain and gives us a far less drop off when one of Mane or Salah cant play or needs a rest.

Thiago is the crown jewel though. I mean how did we just go out and buy one of the best CM's in world football. Very excited to have him on board.

Was only really disappointed not to being in a CB. But I think we have long term plans here so we werent interested in buying a stop gap solution. Im hoping that long term goal is Upamecano. The back up GK was only really brought to the fore after the horror show from Adrian, that now looks to be a position of need also.

Overall I give us an A- as it's pretty difficult to improve the squad we have but I feel we have managed to do that brilliantly.

That sums it up better than any long spiel could. From a wrecked squad that in May 2019 saw Pochettino prophesy a 'painful rebuild' to that level of coverage has been achieved within 3 windows. Upgrading RB, CDM, LB all for peanuts. Bale back to the club for just wages and backup CF finally. All for less than 60m transfer fees.

Not as worried about CB as others, 4 good options still at the club. Not a pressing need.

A.

Looks a good side on paper. Should challenge for CL spots for sure.

For comparison, our depth chart.

Mane/Jota -- Firmino/Origi -- Salah/Minamino
Thiago/Wijnaldum -- Fabinho/Milner -- Henderson/Keita
Robbo/Tsimikas -- VVD/?? -- Gomez/Matip -- TAA/N.Williams
-----------------Alisson/Adrian

Only spot is that fourth CB which Fabinho would usually drop into. Guys not on the squad chart include Ox, Shaq, Curtis Jones, Elliot.

My reading of the above is ‘Pools first XI is stronger, but Spurs squad bats way deeper
