OK... I'll settle for Whitfield then I guess.Anyone who has us getting O'Rourke, Wines and even Stringer at 11 are kidding themselves. All basically locks for top 10

Work of art SinI'll get there Harks, but at the moment it looks a bit like this............

Looks strangely like one of John Elliott's player contract negotiations too.Looks suspiciously like Ratts' game plan. What gives, Sinster?

I really hope the club takes Jake stringer if he is available if Western Bulldogs don't take him at pick 5 or 6 and Brisbane at 8 or Richmond at 9. I have been reading lots of guides he is rated very high and tick every box that Malthouse want in a player. He is 191cm a big strong lad and can play either end or onball and even compared to James Hird by Ray Byrne Bendigo Pioneers Region Manager . I like Kristian Jaksch if his available but If Stringer around their is Two players that I reckon will make AFL Grade in Alex Howson as a late pick and Marco Paparone around 3rd round pick both Key position players. I even take a shot with Kane Mitchell he can play at our last pick or rookie spot.
Sin City Would Rogers be brave enough to pass on Stringer, O'Rourke and Menzel for Kennedy?
That would make overlooking "crowd favourites" such as Cotchin, Selwood, Darling and Talia like a walk in the park.
Lets do it.![]()
I like Kennedy, but the great unwashed would want a bigger body like Stringer, Menzel or Vlastuin.
Kennedy is Murphy like with his agility and speed in traffic.
I don't get Sin's lack of love for O'Rourke. His kicking is nuts. His passes in the highlights (I know, I know) are flat bullets that don't get above 8 to 9 feet above the deck. pr0n.
You can't tell me we don't need a player with good skills, good endurance, footy smarts and decision making. Sounds like a young Mclean who also came from the Calder Cannons footy factory and has footy in his family tree.
Wonder if people are turned off by O'Rourke's injuries which may have affected his fitness and workrate. That former Swan Districts player who had bad hamstrings in his draft year turned out OK for Carlton.
It's interesting isn't it, what makes a player start to slide this long after they've all finished playing?Following the phantoms closely and it seems that lately one of the solidified top 10's in Plowman is starting to slide.
If he's at our pick i would love him. Best Key Defender in the draft and apparently the ability to develop into a big midfielder.
Plowman or Stringer could turn out to be bargains if they fall to #11

Fair enough if you rate Kennedy the better player, but I'd still take a talent like O'Rourke.I rate Kennedy the better player, it's not a lack of love to still have someone in the top 20 is it? O'Rourke sure is an outstanding kick, but he doesn't get as much of the ball as Kennedy (O'Rourke 19 touches per game in TAC, 18 in nationals compared to Kennedy 26 touches per game in nationals) and he doesn't get in and get his hands dirty. O'Rourke could end up a very good player but he could also have a Kane Lucas like struggle to find his true position as he won't be an AFL on-baller with his lack of physicality.
there's only room for one avatar beard on this board!HBF might finally get his "Totino" in Kennedy.
