I have an SGS2 and loved Swype for ages, but I'm really starting to enjoy SwiftKey now.

Is it me or is it Australia is slow to react??

I'm not sure if I'm keeping up current events but worldwide android is the number one OS...

Why is Australia still sucking onto iOs's t***ies???

I just did an AMAZING thing that I don't think the iPhone can do....
I changed the battery on my S2 for a spare one I bought for about $4....yes controversial but do-able; Actually quite easily!!

Not sure the ibrand set are ready for that one yet;)

People are stupid, it's nothing new. If TV says it's cool then it's the only thing to buy. Android advertising hasn't really hit here yet (that I've seen anyway), but apparently they'll start putting the Nexus out there soon, and the dedicated Android store that popped up (and any future ones) will help push it.

If they are lucky it will be a "groundbreaking feature" of a future iPhone

If you're having battery troubles I'd suggest Juice Defender

For media playback I use Moboplayer

For ringtones, message tones and wallpapers definitely recommend Zedge even if you're bad with phones it's so simple to use.

Availability is pretty limited but they are slowly pushing it out, unfortunately it will probably take a NFC-enabled iphone release to really kick off the rollout.

i got the apk from xda and you need root to spoof the location check.
plus there are some reports that you could brick your nfc if done incorrectly

Cheers, I'll read up on it. By brick the nfc you mean just the chip, yeah? Cos that's a risk I'm prepared to take, I've never used Beam and I can't see much other use for it ;)

I'm a new user just have a quick question that may be obvious I don't know. If you download something, from the android market on the computer, and use the function where it sends it straight to your phone, does it use your computer internet or your phone internet? If it uses your phone internet, is there any other way you can download apps using the computer rather than the phone, like *shudder* the iPhone can?

it will use your wireless connection to your modem if you are within range. There should be a wireless icon showing in the top bar when it's connected.

Only way I know is using an app called Airdroid. It basically lets you handle quite a few features of the Phone from your computer.

Just PM me if you need a hand with it.....
