James Acaster "repertoire" on netflix was fantastic in a similar way. Hilarious callbacks.
James Acaster's three shows on Netflix were amazing; just brilliantly crafted storytelling with depth and clear punchlines. One of my favourite current comedians. I watch so much comedy that it's hard to pick out faves, but watching an old Bill Hicks special on Netflix showed why he's one of the best.

As for Jeffries, he's never been particularly funny, he parlayed one incident (getting punched) and one funny routine (gun control) into an inexplicably successful career. Good on him, but his whole schtick is borrowed, as are some of his bits, it seems.

I love this angry bald redhead.
CAUTION: SOME NAUGHTY LANGUAGE (for the sensitive souls)

Love Bill Burr, he's just naturally funny. Doesn't have to be on stage, his interviews are brilliant.

I really enjoy his podcast too, as you said just a naturally funny dude.
