Your Favourite Movie Soundtracks

As the title suggests, what are your most favored/memorable soundtracks to a movie given they lay much of the emotive groundwork, where a score/theme can be remembered as fondly as the the movie itself

A few that immediately spring to mind for me are....

Shawshank Redemption

And yes I realize this is not an original score for this movie but when I hear it I think of ...
Platoon

The Lion King -

Castaway

Explosions in the Sky did an amazing soundtrack to Friday Night Lights.

As did Mogwai for Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait.

War of the Worlds.

With the release of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny it reminds me of some beautiful scores in the original movie

last of the mohicans.
braveheart.
sunshine.
star wars trilogy.

...

groove
urban traffic
kevin & perry go large
one perfect day

I've always thought The Social Network soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is exceptional. Never have I absorbed the atmosphere of a movie scene as much as when some of those tracks are playing.

Well, for straight ahead meat and potatoes enjoyment there's always the Blues Brothers. Some of my favourites are from obscure films:
City of God
Y Tu Mama Tambien
The Good Thief
Cool World
Jackie Brown
American Gangster
