Cherry-red 1983 Mazda 626. Quality car, top-of-the-range. Cassette and AM/FM radio, even air conditioning. Chrome door handles, before Mazda got all stingy and switched everything to fantastic plastic. Immaculate condition even though it was older than I was, my dad bought it new and it was garaged its whole life.

Scared the shit out of me when I did a defensive driving course though... drum breaks lock up like nothing else. No way I'd ever buy a car without ABS after that experience.

Ford ZJ Fairlane, it was a ****in beast 351 LSD lowered and very dangerous in the wet, dont know many time i spun out going around roundabouts.

I miss that car but fuel consumpton, constantly fixing shit made get rid of it.

didnt learn my lesson though drive a vy clubsport now and its not much better haha....

I have 2 cars, and still no licence. Mazda 3, to learn to drive in, and an Alfa Romeo, for when Im done.

Both hail damaged.

The 81 Toyota Celica.

Was a magnificent car, those when it refused to go out of first anymore- and the repair bill looked to cost more than the car itself, it scored itself a classic students burial. (Had it's plate removed and was left on the side of the street. Yes, they probably could have tracked me down by the engine# or something, but I was young and naive!)

Hey all, today I purchased my first car.

It's a big deal. I'm psyched, I'm in love and just happy! :D

A beautiful 11 year old Subaru Impreza, if there's an easy way to post a photo (from my harddrive?) I may just do that.

Just wondering... what was your first car? Do you still own it? Was it a love affair? What can I expect from the next X amount of years of motoring?

1979 Toyota Corolla.

Oh, the humanity.

'93 Nissan Nx Coupe... Cost me a fortune over the years, still in the backyard unregistered can't bring myself to get rid of it.

There's a special bond between a young man and his first car, quite a beautiful thing really.

1975 Mazda 808 Station Wagon. $1600 purchase price, drove it over 200,000km (including Melbourne-Perth-Melbourne in February). Very sad to see it eventually towed off to the wreckers.

Bought it about a month ago (always used Dad's car until getting my first full-time job as a 21 year old).

1995 Holden VS Commodore. Payed 2 grand for it, it's a bit of a fixer-uper but it's good.

1982 Mazda 626 SDX

Got it in 2000 and it was a beautiful car. 150k on the clock, but only one owner who used it as their second vehicle and it had been garaged its whole life. Cherry red, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, tape deck. It even had a manual choke.

Drove it for almost 6 years with no problems. Then I had some problems with the radiator and decided it was time for an uprade. Still managed to sell it for $700. :thumbsu:

1976 Toyota Corona. My parents bought it brand new in 76 and apparently it got me home from the hospital when i was a baby. Given to me when i was 18, learnt to drive in it on dirt tracks. Handbrake and rear wheel drive was fun. I miss it sort of.

Same as the one pictured:

1995 Holden Apollo. Got my license 3 weeks ago and it's been smooth sailing so far.

Nice seklection. For and old car they're really good.

Mine was a 1985 240 Volvo GL given to me from the Sister when she went off to Hong Kong.

1967 HR Holden Premier Sedan, paid a few hundred for it in 1975, thrashed the living hell out of it

2000 Hyundai Sonata.....

NEVER BUY A SONATA!!!

Worst car ever....

The worst I had was a Holden Camira, the electrical system fell apart item by item.
