Everyone should love The Boss. I don't trust any human being who doesn't. And Fleetwood Mac are good. No shame there.

But I will draw the line at Belinda Carlisle. Damn.

Did you see her Playboy shots?

Actually, I like the Go Gos staples and I did see the Runaway Horses tour and she was pretty good.

It is amazing how much music is palatable to me because I had the hots for the female singer. :D

Depends on the individual what is still creditable or not. LOL at those who deny these guilty pleasures as soon as someone decides they are lame.

Neil Diamond
Blondie
Fleetwood Mac
Belinda Carlisle
Laura Branigan
Matchbox 20
Def FX
Transvision Vamp

Strings of one hit wonders as well.

Big Springsteen fan but I think he is still creditable. The experts on what is cool will soon let me know if not.

BLONDIE is not a guilty pleasure. They are the greatest band of all time.

 And also Cannibal Corpse too, i'm quite into metal but I find this band a bit ridiculous, but I still do enjoy the occasional listen.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Cannibal Corpse!! They may be taken as a joke by people outside that scene but god damn they are great at what they do!! Check out "Pounded Into Dust" and "The Spine Splitter" if you haven't heard them already. Those songs define brutality IMO.

I guess my guilty pleasure would probably be Slipknot. They get a caning from most people, even most metal fans who think that they're too cool or "brootal" to like them. **** it....I loved 'em when I was 18 and I still love 'em when I'm 28!! Granted, some of their fanboys are ****ing annoying little brats but most fanboys are anyway aren't they?

It's kind of amusing when you get some dude all decked out in black wearing an Emperor T-Shirt telling you that you should listen to "real" metal when they find out you like Slipknot. I know what "real" metal is, I just like Slipknot!!

Shouldn't feel guilty listening to Blondie. One of the great new wave bands.

I don't really feel guilty listening to anybody but in some circles they make it seem weird.

I have the whole Blondie collection and videos. Love Parallel Lines but the earlier couple of albums were even better for mine.

I'd also add Slipknot too come to think of it, geez you get bagged by metalheads for liking this band, they have some good tunes though. I prefer Stone Sour generally speaking, but the Knot go alright.

And yeah, some people definitely think you have no idea if you like Slipknot. As long as you ain't a fanboy though, like you said any of them are ****en annoying. I'm trying to figure out who's worse out of a Slipknot "maggot" or a Muse fanboy?

if your a fan of slipnot should head down to the mentone hotel tonight, a new act fronted by tim bolger is meant to be awesome use to go to school across the road and is coming back to play some of his favourite songs. had a few good songs himself.... watch out for him

Great thred.

I don,t feel remotely guilty for liking any music.

When I was a teenager growing up in Perth and hanging out with the other "skinheads", we all listened to The Jam , The Clash, The Specials etc... and I loved them. But it was at that time, I discovered Bob Dylan and I remember buying one of his albums and all of the guys asking if it was for my Dad ( and they were serious). they did not believe that I actually liked him.
Then, when I bought a Billie Holiday album, again for myself, I realised that I needed to listen to what I wanted to listen to and not care what people thought. My musical experience has been all the better for it.

Some of the artisits that people are thinking may be a guilty pleasure on here.
Bruce Springsteen - brilliant artist.
Hunters and Collectors - ground breaking band and fantastic.

Never ever feel guilty for liking any music. If you enjoy hearing it then who cares who its by, what genre it is or what others think of it. Not every band has to release classic ground breaking music

Joss Stone :o

I like her too. Not so much her music though, but some of it ain't too bad :)

For mine it'd be Hoobastank (cept that last album), Scissor Sisters, Matchbox 20 and Mika

Nothing in here was genuinely guilty pleasure worthy so I'll right the ship.

Like absolute trash that is Little Big and Die Antwoord.

Lana Del Rey and Kanye are in my top 3 favourite musicians (Deafheaven the other but no guilt there).
