Aaaah - small world Beausgirl !!!

I went to Coorparoo Secondary College, albeit it was Coorparoo State High School when I was there from 1980-1984. And you forget yet another ex-VFL player for the Bears went to our school ???

We made the front page of the Sunday Sun in 1983(?) under the title - in big bold letters mind you - "SHAME" .... won't go into what that was about, though !!!

Where did Danni and the other members of your Lions crew go ???

Wheelers Hill High School, 1981-87

Claim to fame: When I was in year 12, two young 'uns were in year 7, later to become the lead singer and bass player for the Living End! If only I had the foresight to get their autographs then.

I went to Essendon Grammar 1991-1996 and RMIT 1997-2000. Several footballers from PEGS have played AFL. Some of these are Scott West, Dustin Fletcher,Ricky Olarenshaw, Justin Blumfield, Andrew Merrington, Lance Picione and Ty Zantuck.

You bastard!!! It takes me weeks to get "Where Are You Now?" out of my head! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! :D

As for schools, Gladstone Park Secondary College 1988-93 - did play a couple of games in the school side with Corey McKernan. We don't really have many other famous alumni from the school.

Eastmeadows Primary - grades prep to 3
Milleara Primary - grade 4
Sydenham Primary - grades 5 and 6
Taylors Lakes Secondary - year 7
Keilor Downs College- years 8 to 12

Nobody of note has come from any of them as far as I know, but then, you wouldn't expect them to would you.

Go to the same school as Matty Robbins and Dean Rice did years back and also play at the same footy club as Dooley did when he was a youngster ;)

Yeah Balip, I was there then and my wife is an old Lesmurdie girl who ended up teaching at Boulder Primary where I met her - small world eh?

1989 - 1995 Eastbourne Primary School

1996- 2001 Rosebud Secondary College
(curently in Year 12...got about 20 days to go)

There are a few people who have come from Rosebud and gone on to to do something with themselves, one I can name off the top of my head is Rohan Robinson who go 5th at the Atlanta Olympics in one of the hurdles events.

Doesn't quite match it with you private school guys though.

OH and do you guys remember that drama teacher (because he was making the students do sexually explicit plays, as I remember) who was reported about on A Current Affair a couple of years ago...I had him/her the very next day first period because my music teacher was away. The guy went on to have a sex change, we always knew he was like that.

Just sit down while I match and raise you!

I went to primary and secondary school with.....

Wait for it....

JUNO ROXUS :o

Except he wasn't called that then. His real name is Vestre Roxas and his father was a mildly famous jazz musician!

Young Vestre also played at the same junior football club as me - Clayton.

One time, we had won the Under 14 Premiership against Dandenong West - a side that featured the talents of Ricky Jackson (ex Melbourne). Ricky's old man had a bit of a mouth and was over giving us some lip as we celebrated our great victory. Vestre was probably onto his second pie by then, turned around and shoved the pie right into Mr. Jackson's face.

From then on, I was a fan for life! :D

Guess where I live, and a lot of my mates go...

I live in Dandy West (I always go to the footy ground, and went there yesterday) and a lot of my mates go to Mazenod.

Yes and yes Rohan. I just edited my post to include that (before I saw your post).

The new basketball stadium has just been built. How'd you know that?

I go past there on the way to our Beach house in Blairgowrie. Went in side one day and is a impressive stadium.

It is the Sharks or Dolphins isn't it?

It's the Sharks (Southern Peninsula) home stadium.

The school uses it most of the time though.

Belmont High School
Sam Hunt who hasnt got a game for Essendon yet went there. Steven King and a few other Geelong players either went there or finished their schooling there after being drafted.

well well well......
No one can beat this one, HEATH LEDGER, i repeat HEATH LEDGER used to live on my road, down at the end until sometime I was in primary school and went to my Kindy with one of my friends older sisters!

Do you or did you know any Davis's???

I am proud to say St Kevin's College, where I am completing y12 this year (only 2 months to go!).

For primary education I attended St Lawrence's Catholic Primary School in Leongatha. Damien Adkins was a student at this school.

Skevs has produced the Scott Brothers, Garlick, O'Keefe, Mahoney (doh!), and soon to be superstar Irishman Nick Walsh, who even Tim Watson said will be a star. Plus Bobby Santamaria is our most famous student.
